"We have a surprise for you, Aqua!" My parents tell me. "Unless it's a boo-" My parents interrupt me by pulling out a hardback book. I squeal in pleasure and delight. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I grab the book and hug it. I look up with a glare in my eyes. I hiss at my parents and rush upstairs.
I study the cover. "Maze Runner..." I murmur to myself. "Let's see what it holds." I open the book to the 'Table of Contents'. "Not to long not to short." I turn to the first page. As soon as I start reading I'm pulled in.
