Kane hated his memories. Dead since the start of the human race, he finds himself bored in the Elysium fields, waiting for someone or something to happen. As he's pulled out of the supposedly peaceful realm, he finds himself stuck in a loop of worrying and remembering, with a side of anger. What once was a relaxed and carefree demigod ghost was now an angry war machine fighting to protect. To war, he goes. Fighting against his nephew who now inhabits his cousin's body, he starts to recall when he first died, at the hands of his sisters and brothers, as well as the nieces and nephews.

His fate has changed since then, instead of the peaceful one he was supposed to have. But as he journeys further and further into the hands of Niccolo Di Angelo, he finds that maybe, just maybe, he doesn't regret this.

Nico wasn't sure the new bodyguard liked the idea of protecting him so much. At least, that's what he thought. But seeing the fourteen-year-old finally stand up for him made little skeletal butterflies erupt in his stomach, and he hated it. He hated these... these feelings for boys that seemed so foreign but also so familiar. His heart was divided between two males, Perseus Jackson and Kane. One barely cared about him (that was a part-lie), and the other protected him. And while he should've seen the red lights, he pursued the son of the Sea God, not caring about the fragile feelings of his protector.

So here he was, stuck in the never-ending loop of jealousy of both sides, as it seems both are oblivious to his turmoil. Percy has started dating Annabeth Chase, leaving his heart slightly cracked. Kane has been close to another boy, Leo Valdez, which makes his heart crack into two. He should've noticed. He should've accepted. But no, he was a coward.

This book contains swearing, mature scenes (both suggestive and triggering), as well as traumatic events. Please note that my oc, Kane, is a fourteen-year-old that has questionable knowledge of Sex-Ed, due to the environment of his times. In addition, my oc will not have a lot of internalized homophobia, as he met a lot of same-sex and/or queer couples and has accepted them (dead people btw). He can easily identify his feelings and often turns to the dead for advice. In addition, I embrace the FTM!Nico headcanon. I will mostly use this headcanon unless said otherwise.
