𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴: Assault, Sexual Assault, Abuse.

A new day had begun, and, as every day, the sun beamed through her window. But, it wasn't simply any day. No, it was the day of the Wing Ceremony.

Y/N remembered that day, it was one of the few days she felt liberated. Riding on her pearl white loftwing, which was speckled with flecks of colour here and there. Her eyes trailed over the dark mark imprinted on her hand, but her thoughts of that day brightened her usual glum demeanour.

Today though, Y/N knew, would be one of peace. The ceremony attracted everyone in Skyloft, no matter how far. For once, she was unlikely to be the topic of ridicule for the entire day. That's right, a day of peace. The thought delighted her, a faint smile creeping onto her rose tinted lips.

In a hurried manner, she put herself together, yet again pulling on her blue knight's uniform, and gearing herself up, strapping her wooden sword to her back. One thing she was thankful for was her status as Knight. With this, she was allowed to carry a sharp sword with her, alongside a wooden shield, on her journeys, and it had come in handy several times before. Undoubtedly, she would require it again, and so she never forgot it.

Exiting the Knight Academy, Y/N shielded her face from the glistening sun, glancing up at the blue that beamed across the sky. One thing she could never deny, was the beauty that Skyloft held. Hurrying down the stone steps to the Plaza, she watched as the citizens gathered at the centre, in anticipation for the Ceremony. Colourful banners were displayed around the plaza, as chatter filled her ears. Of course, as she did every year, Y/N forced her way through the crowd, hoping to get a peek at the contestants.

It was him, again. That blonde haired boy, Link. But, his usually stoic features harboured a visible concern, as he spoke to both Instructor Owlan and Master Gaepora. What was wrong?.. Well, it's not like it was any of her concern. But still, something tasted wrong in the air, and she knew it concerned Link.

Link's brows furrowed in frustration, a panic setting in. Running a distressed hand through his messy blonde hair, Link sat defeated on the edge of the wooden running platform, hearing Zelda's own purple loftwing wheezing in distress behind him. Feeling a comforting hand on his shoulder, he turned to Zelda, who silently replied with a concerned expression.

'I'm sure he's out there Link'

She tried to reassure, her voice soft, but to no avail. Link did give a nod, but it was not convincing. No matter how hard he tried to shield his worry with a smile, concern radiated off of him.

'I'll speak to my father, I'm sure he'll postpone the race for you. You should ask around, I'm sure someone knows something'

Zelda encouraged the boy, raising his spirits slightly. Link's smile increased faintly, replying with a more genuine nod.

'Alright, I will, thank you'

He muttered, pushing himself back up as he gently gazed towards her. He didn't know what it was, but in that moment, staring at Zelda, he saw Y/N, that strange girl he interacted with yesterday. But why? The thought baffled him, but he didn't pay much mind to it, he had greater concerns to focus on. Snapping out of these idle thoughts, hurried off towards the plaza.

Upon his arrival, Link pushed his way through the already forming crowd. It was no surprise it was this busy, for the Wing Ceremony was loved by all. Mothers came in support for their sons, Fathers for their daughters, and friends for friends. Many arrived early, in hopes to get the best view, and already several rows of people had formed. Exiting the other side of the blockade, Link, unsurprisingly, came into contact with Groose, and his two sorry excuses for friends, Cawlin, and Stritch.
