When you stand on the edge
Of forgiveness and regret
Will you travel backwards
To what you can't forget?
The way you saw him standing
Like you weren't his girl
Fingers enlaced with hers
But you said I was your pearl?
Not anymore, we've long since lost that
How could I condone such a deed?
Besides, you were united in her ways
Although her heart was overwhelmed with greed
Or will you travel forwards
To what you do not know?
A nice enough lad
His standards not so low
You will hurt for your lost love
But somehow you will deal
For in the distant future
Another's heart you'll steal.k.g
