When I was a child
I made myself promise
Never to drink, never to smoke
Never to stray off the path
I told myself my favorite color would always be pink
And I guess that just says a lot about me
Because now as a broken teen
What I promised myself has also been broken
I can't quit drinking, I'm addicted to smoking
I've lost the path of life
And black is my color, like the black of my shattered young heartk.g
