I bet some of the other Ren's don't even know what it is...'' I think about how the multiverse opened up to me 8 years ago. Before I have time to think further, my wife calls me from downstairs.
''Reeeeen~! We're running low on alot of groceries! Could you go to the store for me?'' My wife... Akira, she's an absolute gem of a human, very daring too, can't go against her so I accept her request and head out. I let my thoughts dwell a bit longer while walking, thinking about that faithful moment all those years ago...
THE PAST. FEBRUARY 15TH, 2017.
''So like... Akira, Is this really a good idea? I know that I'm pretty smart but like... I dunno if messing with the fabric of reality is something we should do...'' I said with a trembling voice, tinkering with the machine I just made''Ah Ren, you're such a little baby! I know that you're missing an eye but like, C'mon!! Imagine all the stuff we'll see!!!'' Even though I'm nervous, she's right, even though I'm barely 15, I was smart enough to make a machine that goes into other dimensions... what's the worst that could happen? I fire up the machine... And a portal appears infront of us!! ''IT WORKED!!!'' We shout in unison, giving eachother a high five as we jump through.
THE PRESENT. JUNE 14TH, 2025.
I stare at the groceries I just got, thinking about that faithful day where I invented multiversal travel. I then decide that it's time for an adventure.
''Akira, I'm gonna go multiverse hopping, you okay with that?'' I ask her, hoping for a yes.
''Honey... I'm glad that you're doing that, It's the thing you've wanted to do forever, don't let my pregnancy get inbetween that. Just... Set a timer for 5 hours, alright?'' She asks with a smile on her face.
''Of course!! I'll be back by night!! I love ya so much!!'' I tear through the fabric of reality with my arm, and head through.
REALITY D-803. AUGUST 13TH, 2024.
I find myself in an overgrown version of the city, but it's still populated by alot of people... I look around, with my gear on my back and notepad in hand, when I notice a figure with... Tendrils? He's looking at me... And then I hear... My voice from him, finding my variant here was easy as hell.
''Well... I guess we already know eachother, if you know yourself.'' I tell the guy, he looks younger than me, my estimation is that he's... 17?
''Oh, I know myself PLEEENTY Mr. Popular~!'' He says with sarcastic glee.
''Mr... Popular? Oh right... Guess I AM pretty well known across the multiverse. Especially in the inbetween station.... Anyway, what's your deal? Especially with the tendrils.'' I start writing in my notepad about this reality.
''Welllll, the other Ren's call me... What was it again... Oh yeah! Rendrils! Yeah I know... My name's a pun, but I like it!'' He pushes his goggles onto his forehead, revealing two completely working eyes. ''I'm colorblind in the right one! But I guess eye problems come with all of us, don't they?'' I nod at his remark.
''I guess you're right, so-'' Before I can ask him questions, I get interrupted by him... ''I ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU'RE GONNA ASK!! Yes I explore the multiverse too, No I don't cause any trouble, These tendrils are enhanced version of your average Nexus arm, which I also have....'' I write down everything about this Ren in my notes as he keeps going on and on and on.
''Okay... So you work alone too? No Chrises, Harlows, or Olivers?''
''Nah, I KNOW them but they're just my friends, I do my multiverse shit alone, s' more fun!'' He says this with one of the most joyous smiles ever, wow he's clueless...
''Right... Well, I guess that's all the time that I have for here. I'll see you some other time... ''Rendrils.'''' I tear through the fabric of reality as I return home and take a nap, perhaps I'll find more realities tomorrow... I'm too tired now...

''So... C-573 Is back in action, Isn't he?''
''Despite having a pregnant wife? He has some nerve.... Anyone who has a child while having something like the power of Nexus... That child is going to be powerful when it's born.''
''Exactly.... And with C-573 ALREADY being super powerful... Our plan is to wait for him, isn't it?''
