LOCATION: MAEDA HOUSEHOLD. C-573.
TIME AND DATE: SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2025.
I was alerted by a crash before I headed to bed... Sounds like it came from the beach, since all my family are super heavy sleepers, I guess I'm going alone.
I run towards the beach, seeing smoke and hearing sirens around it. I come across a cop, who's an old acquaintance of mine...
''Ren! Perfect timing, do you know what this thing is? It looks like some sorta space pod...'' My old friend Moon said, she used to bully me in high school... But she ended up just taking out her anger of her crappy home life on people like me... We're good now tho, barely lasted like 2 months.
''I don't know what it is... But I want to find out. Do I have clearance?'' I ask her, and she talks in her radio.
''Officer Watson to everyone on site, Professor Maeda is checking out the object, stay back while he examines.'' I get let through as Moon accompanies me, and we approach the pod, after a bit of prodding at the presumed door, we get through the door and find... Some weird, red, slime? There was also a space suit in the pod... I call Akira so she can bring a capsule for me to put the goop in.
''Ren...? It's 4 in the morning... What's up...?'' She asks me sleepily, clearly not wanting to be awake right now...
''Could you bring one of the capsules that I use for sample collecting? Get the biggest one and bring it to the beach... We got something interesting...'' Akira agrees and a few minutes later I watch our car pull up.
''Moon, could you take the spacesuit back to my car and take the capsule of Akira's hands so I can capture the goo?'' Moon nods and walks over after taking the suit off my hands, and then brings the vial back to me. ''Here ya go Ren. Are you gonna take this to your home? If so good luck with whatever you're doin' with it.'' I thank Moon and put all the sludge into the capsule, and I let the cops and other research agencies take care of the ship.
I get into the car with the container in hands as Akira drives us back home.
''Any ideas what it is love?'' I shake my head. ''I gotta examine it a bit more once we're home. I don't know what this stuff is...''
Me and Akira get home, she crashes down into bed, while I just bring the capsule and suit into the attic for research in the morning... For now I gotta get to bed...
TIME AND DATE: SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2025.
In the blink of an eye, or atleast how it felt, It's the next day, Akira was at work and I had just woken up... As I was brushing my teeth, I hear a violent scream from Chris' room, so I sprint and check.
''CHRIS!! Are you alrigh- Oh my god.'' As I look why Chris screamed, I see the red goop, now in the form of a more humanoid creature, in it's space suit again, reading Chris' comics.
''Oh hiyaaa!! I'm uhhh.... ummm... Snart!! That's it!!'' The little red alien, apparently named Snart, sticks his goopy hand out for me to shake, so I do. ''I was told Earth's manners and English by my masters!! In Earth years I'm arounddd....'' I watch as Snart struggles to count on his fingers. ''8 years old!!'' He smiles, and Chris also gets up to say hi. ''I'm sorry for screaming at you earlier buddy... I mean, our situations are probably sorta similar? Why're you here on Earth?'' Snart thinks for a moment and zones back in when he remembers. ''I thiiiiink our planet was gonna be destroyed by some evil guy? Probably didn't happenn....'' Me and Chris look at eachother in shock, and then turn back to Snart.
''Well, whatever the case is, we'll take care of you! We'll shop for some clothes tomorrow, alright buddy?'' I smile gently at Snart and he nods excitedly, he jumps onto me and gives me a hug. ''This is what a child does to their ''dad'' figure on this planet right?'' I look at Chris and it looks like I'm about to cry... Probably. ''Y-Yes, it is... Anyway since you crashed down so recently, go get some sleep buddy, I'll get the futon ready... Is it alright if he stays in your room for a bit, Chris?'' Chris nods. ''Yeah! I don't see a problem with it.'' I smile as I head upstairs into the attic as I leave Chris and Snart to get to know eachother, getting the futon down to the first floor and moving it to Chris' room without much effort. ''Alright, you two enjoy yourselves, I'm gonna take care of Theo. Love ya both!!'' I tell Snart and Chris as I hug them both. ''Love ya too, Dad.'' ''I 'LOVE' you too 'Father'!'' Snart is such a weird little guy... He'll get used to this planet soon enough, if he needs anything, he has a family here for him... That reminds me... I should PROBABLY call Akira and tell her we have a third son now...
I call her and it gets picked up almost immediately. ''Hey Love! Anything happened with that red goop?'' She asks me over the phone, with a clear questioning tone. ''Yeah, turns out he was an alien named Snart... And he immediately assumed me as a father figure... So yeah... I mean it's not like he's 20 or something, kid is barely 8!'' Akira let's out an audible ''awww'' as I tell her this. ''Well, I'll see the little guy in an hour then when I get off work. Until then, let Chris and him bond for a bit... I love ya Ren. Remember that, alright?'' She tells me with a loving voice. ''Of course Akira, I love you too. I'll see you in a little.'' We hang up and I go to take care of Theodore.
Even though I have an alien as a son now... It sure isn't the WEIRDEST thing that's ever happened to me.
