Chapter 4

         You sat in the living room with your mom watching TV. You and your mom always loved sitting and joking around about movies or TV shows. But all you can think about is your dad hitting your mom Yeah it happened before but it still kept bothering you. You notice your brother walking into the kitchen and you get up to check on him. You noticed at dinner that your brother didn't talk to anyone which was strange to you. As you walk into the kitchen you run into your brother and look up at him. He asked you what you were doing and you said you came to check on him because he was so quiet at dinner. Mike looked down at you and said that he was fine and you didn't have to worry. You look at your brother and give him a hug because you can tell something was bothering him. Mike pulled you closer to him and you could tell he was upset you could hear him saying something under his breath. You look up at your brother and ask what he said under his breath but he just stepped back and looked at you and said not to worry about it. You hated when your brother wouldn't tell you what was wrong and kept telling you don't worry about it. It was 9:45 and you were getting tired so you decided to go to sleep.

In The Morning 

You wake up to the sound of your dad screaming at your mom you just put your head under your pillow. You look up at the clock and see it's 7:54? SHIT! I'M GONNA BE LATE FOR SCHOOL! you yell throwing your blankets off. You rush to get ready for school and then run down stairs and out the door. It was only your second day at your new school and you were going to be late you tried to run as fast as you can.You made it to school right before the bell rang you saw Sam sitting down waiting for you. Sam asked you why you were late and you told her you slept in to late.
