BACKSTORY:
Nia grew up in Chicago, on the south side, living on the same street as the Gallagher's, however she lives about 3 houses down. she met Ian first, when they were both like 5, and slowly but surely became close friends, and soon she met Lip and also became his friend, and by the time she reached 15, she began to develop a crush on him. due to her growing up around her brother's, they were a huge impact of how she grew up, especially since they were apart of a gang in their neighborhood, although she never joined any gang, she had a very 'thug-like' attitude, and she doesnt let anyone get away with disrespecting her, or any of that. One day, she was having a rough day, when she was like 12, she was clearly upset, and Kev had noticed and told Veronica, so Veronica came outside and the younger female had opened up to the older female, and thats when Veronica gave her some advice about how she can't go around acting like a 'thug' and all that and that she has a bright future and she can be whoever she wants to be, so Nia took that advice to heart, and actually listens to it, and after that, she goes to Veronica anytime she needs advice. she spends most of her time at the Gallagher's or if they dont have room, sometimes she sleeps over at Veronica's and Kev's place whenever her and her mom are arguing.
