The Time With Phil

Meeting the parents

After Kaycee had almost completely recovered Phil decided to formally introduce Kaycee to his family.

"Come on Kaycee lets go!" Phil yelled and straightened his tie.

"Okay okay I'm coming! I don't understand why I have to dress so fancy." She came out in a dress. She hates dresses.

"We're going out to a fancy restaurant so we need to wear fancy clothes." Phil said and looked at Kaycee.

"You look pretty!" He gave her a quick hug.

She blushed and smiled.

"Well you look really handsome!" Kaycee exclaimed and kissed him on the cheek.

Phil smiled and checked his watch.

"Okay okay let's hurry up I don't wanna be late!" He seemed so rushed.

"Alright geeze." She laughed and stepped in the car.

"Alright we're here AND we're early, so calm down, Phil." Kaycee said, trying to make Phil calm down.

"Okay," He laughed.

"I just want you to make a good impression." He said happily.

"Don't worry I will!" She boasted and pointed her thumb at herself.

"Don't forget I'm amazing!" She laughed at her own joke and walked inside the fancy restaurant.

She sat down at a table and looked over the many. She had no idea what most if these big fancy words meant.

"Uhh...." She embarrassingly grabbed the kids menu.

"I think I'll just get Mac and cheese..." She said slightly blushing.

Phil stifled a laugh.

"Um, okay, ms seven year old, do you want milk with that?" He teased.

Kaycee punched him lightly in the shoulder.

"Shut up!" She laughed and his parents walked in.

She sat up straight and fixed her hair.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Lester. It's a pleasure to meet you again." Kaycee shook their hands.

"It's great to see you again! How are the puppies?"

"They're great! They're getting big really fast and I just love them all!" Kaycee exclaimed happily.

This was going well.

Dinner went great! And Phil's parents ended up loving Kaycee. When they finished dinner, Phil's mom pulled Phil aside and whispered to him.

"This girl is the one."

Phil nodded his head, smiling.

"I know."
