around this time, mara should have been getting ready for school. also around this time, she should have been thinking of a plan to ditch school. at this time, mara was quietly sneaking out the window. it was a bit dark outside, and mara could already see aden waiting for her.
mara and aden had been friends for what it seemed like forever. they had met during summer camp, (which mara might add was horrible.) at that time, aden was seven and mara was a little six year old. from the time they had met to now, they had made up a system. at six thirty we meet up in front of the old bargain shop. from there we walk to school, which only applied if they weren't ditching.
their relationship consisted of hanging out, covering up for each other, and doing bad things. but that was the thing.
mara felt as if she were doing bad things with the right person.
she felt as if when she were with aden, nothing else mattered. she was safe and secure at his side. mara would have been more secure in between his arms, but she would accept being at his side. all mara wanted was to love him, all she wanted was for him to love her back. to just forget everything and run. it wouldn't happen, but there's always a chance.
