Kehlani was an only child who spend most of her days alone, due to the fact her parents enjoyed working more than being parents. Kehlani grew up remembering more about her baby sitters and nanny's than her own parents, both either away on business and or to "busy" to care about her. her parents were more than present until her 14th birthday, that's when they started leaving more often and only showing up for "important" holidays or events. When she turned 15 neither of her parents showed for Christmas, that was the beginning of them never coming home. She got a letter in the mail and money wired to her account, Kehlani had ran to the Cameron's to share the awful news; that afternoon in Sarah's bed room she spent her 1st Christmas alone in tears. Now just before her 16th birthday she hasn't seen her parents in over a year, they just wire her money every month and send her a letter saying they love her and will see her soon.
Kehlani never let these things get to her, until one day Rafe changed his whole attitude about her. They were inseparable as children, best friends even; she actually spent most of her time at the Cameron's. Rose was warm and welcoming to her, she was sure it was because rose felt bad for her. Rafe wanted to be king kook but Kehlani didn't raise her self that way, so Rafe changed. He become cold and distant, he practically spat at her feet every time they talked; worst thing about it was Rafe knew things other people didn't and she was sure he'd remember them just to torture her.
Kehlani sat up from her bed, dazed from her sleep; reaching over to her night stand grabbing her phone she opened it. Topper Thornton, Rafe's best friend and her slightly annoying 3rd bestie; the text had read "wanna meet up for breakfast" that was less than 13 minutes ago. She texted back that'd she'd shower and meet him at the club; she dragged her self to the shower knowing that her morning was about to be LONG. Topper was most likely going to bring Rafe and Kelce as an attempt to get them all to be friends, it's not kelce; Kehlani didn't like, it was Rafe.
