Leni's batch 1982 Kalayaan dormmates took the bus going Naga early morning to witness the Traslacion as part of the celebration of Feast of Peñafrancia while she travelled separately with Aika the night before.
In their their newly constructed house in a small lot which she inherited from her mother she was busy preparing while waiting for her dormmates when she heard her phone rings. She got her phone and saw Joanne's name.
Joanne excitedly informed her that they are now going to her place after checking in at a hotel nearby the Jesse Robredo Museum.
A few minutes later, a knock on their door can be heard, Leni hurriedly opened it but got surprised when she saw Kit, she never expected him to come since he just called last night that he won't make it because he felt sick.
"Oh sumama ka pala Kit?"
"Siyempre, joke lang yong sinabi ko. Ako pa magpapahuli? "
"Loko ka talaga. May joke ka pang nalalaman dyan. "
Leni slapped his right arm.
Joanne stopped them saying
"Oy tama na yan, hanggang ngayon ba naman nag aaway kayo. Ito namang si Kit parang ano..kung di pa last minute don siya tatawag na sasama siya."
Oo nga.!!!
Her Kalay dormmates echoed.
"Easy..easy..so Len di mo ba kami papasukin?"
Kit joked.
And they burst out laughing.
Kumalma ka kit, heto na.
Leni retorted smiling.
Leni welcomed them on her home warmly and introduced each of her dormmates to Aika.
Aika was pleased that her Mama won't be alone celebrating this occasion which is dear to them as a family. Though she is not familiar with her Mama's friends in college except for Kit and Joanne this reunion that she sees upon her eyes made her happy.
Ang saya, andami nating pupunta sa Traslacion.
Aika said with much happiness in her voice.
Syempre, tignan mo Naman Aiks pati Yung gwapong ex congressman Ng QC na nagsabi na di sya sasama, sumama na man pala.
Leni said trying to annoy Kit.
Ay oo nga, teka teka solo ka pala ngayon dito Cong kit??
Aika asked seeing Kit as the only guy in the group.
Hindi Aiks, your Tito Jun called me papunta na daw sya.
Talaga lang, na si Jun ang nagsabi na pupunta sya or pinapunta mo?
Oo na Len, Ako talaga nagsabi.
Ma, wag mo nang kulitin si Cong Kit parang galit na siya
Aika demanded calmly.
