Burnout
I think that's it, let me know if there's anymore

Will had just finished recording an episode of the podcast with Chris. Will had been working on stuff for the patron all day. He had barely had a break.

In reality, he'd been working all week. Since Sunday. Will barely got any sleep. He was burnt out to say the least.

He got home after the podcast and sat on his couch. He didn't move. Didn't get up. He couldn't. He was too tired. He barely ate over the last few days. He could barely keeps his eyes open.

It was only 8pm. It wasn't even that late. Will attempted to get up, it felt like there were bricks on his chest. He just laid there.

He didn't fall asleep or anything, he just sat there and dissociated from reality.

It was almost 4am when Will fell asleep. He fell asleep in his jeans, shoes and his jumper. He still had his glasses on.

Will woke up at 3pm it was late but he didn't really care. His phone was dead. He felt dead.

He got up to put his phone on charge and have a shower. He grabbed some sweat pants and a hoodie for after the shower. He found it difficult to shower. It was an effort to wash his hair.

Will got out of the shower. He put on his clothes and grabbed his phone. It was at 20%.

He looked at his notifications just to see his phone getting spammed by Chris because they we're gonna go out that day.

He felt guilty. H failed his best friend. Before will got too distracted, he went to his room to feed his rats.

He fed the rats before realising how hungry he was himself. He decided to just make some food. He made himself a simple sandwich with what he had in his fridge. He need to go shopping.

It was roughly 4:30 so the shops we're gonna shop soon and, to be honest, Will didn't really have enough energy to leave the house.

On the topic of the house, it was a mess. Will hadn't been home most of the week so it was kind of atrocious. Will just kind of looked at the mess before looking away.

He really didn't care that much. He couldn't be bothered to get up and clean it right now. Will proceed to sit on the couch. He turned on the TV and put some bullshit documentary before scrolling Twitter.

*Meanwhile*

Chris was upset while still being a little concerned about Will. Will always responds to Chris's messages and almost always let's him know if he can't catch up. It was odd. Chris just assumed that he forgot or that he was busy since this was Will's busy week. Even then, Will still would have let Chris know.

Chris tried to contact Will to no avail. He called, no answer. Message, left in delivered. No mater what, Will didn't see the messages. Chris then just assumed Will may not be feeling great. He thought he'd go visit just to see what's up.

Chris got dressed before heading to the taller male's house.

Once Chris got there, he knocked on the door.

Will got up and answers the door just to see Chris.

"Chris, what are you doing here?" Will said, he didn't sound to great.

" I was just checking up on you. You didn't respond or receive any of my texts so I was checking your were still alive," Chris said with a little bit of humour.

"Oh yeah, sorry about today, I'm not feeling to great," Will spoke.

"That's understandable, you still could have contacted me though. I'm not mad or anything," Chris said.

"In sorry. Look I just, for some reason, have zero energy. I've eaten, slept, drank water and showered but still, I feel like shit," Will spoke with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"Maybe your just burnt out. That's a very real possibility considering the week you've had," Chris said with empathy.

"Probably, I should probably just relax. I mean this week was quite stressful and I barely had any time to do anything for myself," Will stated think aloud.

"Look why don't I go and let you relax and have some time to de-stress. Let me know when you feel better," Chris spoke.

"I will, thanks for checking in me," Will said with a smile.

"No problem pal, see ya," Chris said walking away.

Will said goodbye before closing the door. He sat back apon the couch to continue his documentary.

The documentary wasn't that good nor was Will even paying attention. It was becoming boring.

It was almost 8pm. Will was exhausted. He didn't even do anything but it still felt like he had ran a marathon. Will just went to sleep.

*Timeskip to morning*

Will woke up tired. He barely moved. He wasn't happy. He hated his job, life, friends, and self. It wasn't out of the ordinary for Will to be feeling like this but it was completely uncalled for.

He saw that Chris posted on the discord, tagging Will.

"Hey guys should @ will wood do like a drawing comp? I'm not the best with comps,"

Will just looked at the message but couldn't be bothered to reply. He was kinda pissed. Chris knew Will wasn't feeling great, but still Chris asked the people in the server.

Will was tempted to throw his phone before calling Chris and go off at him. He near did, if it wasn't for the fact that he heard one of the rat's cage make a noise.

Running into his room, Will saw that Mr Boy ( R.I.P. Mr Boy) was on the floor as the cage was on its side on the ground.

Will quickly picked Mr Boy up, putting him on his shoulder before picking up the cage and cleaning and making sure it won't fall again. Will then proceeded to feed the rats.

Will went back to his living room, walking past the kitchen. He didn't grab food. Cleaning up the cage took all the energy out of him.

Will just sat on the couch. He didn't turn on the he TV. He just slept.

*Timeskip*

Will woke up with his phone dead. No idea what the date, time, or place that he was in. The house was cold. He had been sleeping for 2 days. 2 WHOLE FUCKING DAYS.

Will sprung up to go feed the rats. Oh how much he prayed they were okay. Running to his room, Will noticed how much pain he was in. Sleeping on the couch for 2 days does a number on the back.

Entering the room, Will saw his adorable rats peacefully chilling in their cage. All the rats were there.

Will grabbed some food for the rats to feed them.

After 2 days of sleep, Will did feel better, not as tired, sad or irritable.

1183 words.

It's not as long but I was trying to make it at least semi good.
