LENA~
We arrived at the Catalina Island. The island looked so much bigger from the docks in Las Vegas. And the buildings were built so close together. Even then, I was still excited to see what it's like here.I stayed upstairs in the bedroom as the boat started to slow down and pull between two poles in the water, close to the shore. The boat jerked a bit, but smoothly came to a stop. I could hear the engines being shut off from below.
I left the bedroom and went down stairs right when Jungkook was coming down the steps before leaping over three to get to the bottom deck, "Got everything you need?"
I shrugged, "All my stuff is at Jimin's."
Jungkook nodded, realizing, "Oh, right. We'll worry about that later. For now, let's get situated at my place." He said, grabbing his bag and standing by the edge of the boat, holding a hand out.
I sighed and took his hand as he helped me off his boat. There were so many people out and about and boats pushing out at bay.
"We're going to need a ride there. My place is at the side of that mountain." Jungkook said, pointing to the right of the island. There was nothing in view other than the docks and more boat poles. Was there really a house there or was this where I was going to die?
"You coming?" Jungkook asked, walking ahead of me.
I blinked out of thought and hurried behind him. We entered a side walk and approached a man leading against one of the buildings. They seemed like they knew each other by the smiles they were making.
"Ah, Mr. Jeon! Need a lift today?" The man asked, leaning to get a look at me, "I see you brought a girl to the island. That's the first." He said, smirking at Jungkook.
Jungkook chuckled, "She's a friend, Arlo."
The man laughed and pushed himself off the wall for a handshake, "Nice to meet you...uh?"
"Lena." I said, taking his hand and shaking it.
"Phew. Firm grip for such a little lady." Arlo said, glancing at Jungkook.
Jungkook held his backpacks strap as his fingers went up and he shrugged, "Thought if I were to bring a lady for the first time, it would be a tough one."
Arlo snickered, "Ah, to handle you huh?" He said, slapping Jungkooks arm with a big smile and taking his keys out, "He's a stubborn one, Miss Lena. Come, I'll give you both a ride." Arlo rushed over to a black jeep as I stayed beside Jungkook.
"Arlo is a good friend of mine. He's the one that sold me the house here." Jungkook informed me.
Good friends? "Does he know..."
Jungkook nodded, "If father knew, he'd kill him in an instant." He said, narrowing his eyes, "He's a good guy with a good family. He doesn't deserve that." He added, looking up at Arlo who was smiling big and waving for us to hurry up.
