The morning

She wakes up the same as any other day but today she has to tell her mother shes going to Rome. She walks down the stairs they creak as usual "Alexia Alexia!" Her little sister hugs her. "Mom theirs something I need to tell you in the other room" she whispers. They walk into the other room to talk "what is it honey". "I have to uhh" she thinks about lying and eventually does "Kay bought me a ticket to the UK".

Her mother looks excited "when do you leave" "today". Her mom smiles "well go pack and I'll drive you to the airport". She is surprised how well her mother takes it but that makes it easier.

The airport

They drive to the airport the traffic thankfully isn't that bad so they get there quick. "Thanks again mom" "no problem" they hug and Alexia leaves her mom to drive away. Alexia walks into the airport and sits waiting for her flight. A man drops a paper in front of her could that be x she thinks. She reads it but it's not in English so she puts it in her pocket thinking the others must get something aswell.

The plane comes into the runway and opens the doors. They call flight from Canada to Rome, Italy. The plane ride was bumpy but she was able to read a bit about Roman mythology she read.

Jupiter the god of the gods
The great god of the lightning
Also called jove was the god
The ancient Romans used
For the government and power
Of Rome and it's citizens

She felt that they were chosen for a reason but didn't fully know why. She was still very apprehensive about the trip but thought she does get to meet her friends now.

Rome

She arrived at the Rome airport and waited at the food court for the others. They must be coming soon if they left in the morning like she did. Lunch was not Fancy but it was good she had a burger and fries from a restaurant she had never heard of before.
