Ever since my date with Charles, Alex seemed to be pushing away. But that was not going to ruin my good mood. Meredith was finally coming back to work today. Nothing was going to ruin my day.

"Mel you are with me today" Derek says

I stand corrected there is one way that my day can be ruined

"So what are we doing today" I said

"Mel, It has been weeks and I have been trying, can you please just talk to me" he said stopping to look at me "I miss my best friend. And I have a pretty good excuse for leaving New York out of nowhere"

"Okay then explain. Please tell me what would have caused you to not call, text, or even email me that you were moving. Huh." I said Derek just looked at me "that is what I thought. You might have had a good reason to leave. But you have no reason to not contact me. Just admit it Derek you forgot about me. The sooner you accept it the more you will realize what a jerk you were" I said leaving to looking for Meredith

Instead of finding Meredith I found Alex he was reading some charts. I could not help but stare. He was handsome, very handsome but he has a wife and I have a boyfriend? Maybe I still don't know what we are but the date went very well.

"Hello" I said walking closer to him

"Hey" he said without looking up from the charts

"Are you okay? I feel like we have not had time to talk since Wallace died" I said staring at my bracelet

"Yeah I am fine, I just have some things to do. Excuse me" he said leaving

I was about to say something to him but my pager went off

"Hey, so what do we have" I said to Derek

"Mel this is Dr. Stevens. Dr. Stevens this is Dr. Peralta" he said introducing us

"Hi, My name is Melanie but you can call me Mel" I said shaking her hand looking at Meredith who is looking at me with wide eyes

"Hi, Mel you can call me Izzie"

"Wait, Izzie. As in Alex's wife" I said looking in between Derek and Meredith

"Yeah" she said and I dropped my hand

"Oh, um who is this" I said pointing at the patient

"Oh" Izzie says looking like she is getting out of a daze "this is Dr. Singer"

As Derek was doing a check up on Dr. Singer I was talking to Meredith

"So, she just showed up" I said looking between Derek and Izzie

"Yes, So you have to stop whatever you have with Alex because that girl in front of you is his wife" she said with serious look

"There is nothing going on between us. Plus he is not even talking to me right now and I am too tired to fight for his attention" I said walking back to Derek

"Okay, what we're gonna do is, uh, take some blood and run some tests. Okay?" Derek said while helping Dr. Singer put on his glasses

"Um, Mel, can you do that for me?" he said looking at the chart

"Yeah, Of course"

While I was finishing taking the blood samples and getting them ready to be tested I hear

"Where the hell have you been" Cristina says angrily "you missed your I.L.-2 appointment"

"You told Cristina I was here? Mer, who else did you tell?" Izzie said a little annoyed

"Well, well, well. Look who's back" Charles says

"This guy? You told the guy that got me fired?" now Izzie was mad
