ACOTAR SMUT- Gwyneth and Az

Chapter 3:

Gwyn ran as fast as she could through the garden, maze full of high hedges, until she finally found a bench nestled inside.

She threw her self down and sobbed, she had heard their whole conversation. The necklace, she so dearly cherished, was not for her but for Elaine.

He gave it to Clotho to give to me in secret. She felt so utterly worthless. She should have know she'd never be worthy of something so beautiful.

Her blood boiled with fury as she felt Az, near her.
"Gwyn! Please I can explain". He said almost out of breath.

"I've already heard and seen enough, Azriel. Do not come any closer to me." She sobbed.

He stopped as the shadow swarmed him.
"Gwyn..." his voice broke and so did his heart. He couldnt bare to see her hunched over that bench with so much hurt in those beautiful eyes.

The last time he saw that look on her face... he shook the thought away.

"Gwyn I.... I am so-" "Azriel!" Elaine ran in a minute behind him coming to his side. But the shadow singer moved away from her. Closer to Gwyn.

Elaine looked at Gwyn who was crying and had no expression in her face.

"Gwyn," she said "what you saw, no one can know. Lucian is my-"

"Your mate, yes Elaine I'm well aware." She looked at Elaine with such sorrow and fury in her voice.

"You really think I'm that shallow, to spread your little secret? I would rather disappear back under that library for a thousand years than be within the sight of you two and your little, circle."

Az's heart broke at the sound of that statement, eyes
watering. He admired Gwyn so much. She came today, something she had never had the courage to do, but she came and she performed and now she will never do that again and it was because of him.

Gywn couldn't stand to be in this garden anymore with the scent of Az and Elaine's arousal swarming her nostrils.
She began to breath to calm her self down. She was a Valkyrie, strong and unbreakable. She would not allow them to see her cry any longer.

Gwyn unhooked the gold chain she loved so much, throwing it at Az.
"Here, take back your stupid necklace. I don't want it. Especially if it belongs to someone else." She glared at Elaine with pure Valkyrie power manifesting behind those eyes that used to sparkle. 

She stormed past the both of him shoving them out of the way.
Az watched her walk away holding the necklace clenched in one hand. Elaine reached for it and Az quickly threw it in the hedges walking away with out even looking at her.

He knew he fucked up.
