The next morning Nathan went to work and Damian was left alone. He sat on the couch, watching TV and occasionally getting small things to snack on. Then suddenly, something clicked into his head. 'Jordan...' He started sobbing. He didn't know what was happening. His body went cold and his mind flooded with a million memories. He couldn't stop shaking.

"Dammit! I can't take this pain anymore!" Damian shouted and rushed into the bathroom. He started going through the medicine cabinet, opening up random bottles and taking a few pills of each. After awhile of sobbing and a few piles of throw up on the floor, Damian blacked out.

"Nathan," His boss walked into his office. "Damian, he..." The next few words are the ones Nathan never wanted to hear. He hurried out of his chair and ran out to his car, speeding down the roads and totally ignoring the traffic.
He got to their apartment building and rushed inside and up the stairs. There were police all around the hall and in his room. "Let me in there!" He started running in.

"Hey you can't-" One of the officers started.

"Let him go. He's the boyfriend..." Another one said.

Nathan ran into the bathroom and saw Damian laying on the floor, lifeless. He couldn't believe his eyes. He suddenly felt...numb. He didn't notice his eyes weld up with tears. Then the numbness when away. He dropped to his knees and sobbed. "Why, Damian...dammit! Why!"

A few moments later, he heard a soft knock at the door. He turned around and saw a police officer holding a note. "This was on the kitchen counter, son. Damian wrote it..to you." Nathan stood up and took the paper, wiping away the tears on his cheeks.

"Dear Nathan,
You've probably already found my body. I know you're sad. I'm sorry. But I couldn't take it anymore. You know how I was feeling. You know what was happening. I just could bare it any longer. I still love Jordan. Now I can be with him. Now I don't have to suffer. You can find someone who will actually be able to love you. I'm sorry this went on for so long. But thanks for trying to help me.
-Love, Damian"

After reading it, Nathan then noticed his tears staining the white paper. He sniffled and neatly folded the paper then walked downstairs only to meet Nadia. His eyes met with hers and he already knew that she had found out.

"Nathan, I'm so-"

"No. It's okay." He forced a small smile. "I'll be fine." Nadia nodded then hesitantly hugged him. He hugged back then they walked out of the apartment building.

A year later...

Nathan sat at Damian's grave. It's been a whole year since that day. Nathan had moved into a new apartment and was holding back on dating and just focusing on work. He missed Damian everyday. Some days were better than others, but everything was okay. He was going to be okay.
