"They told me the driver has already been charged for the serious injuries he caused to my mother," EunWoo informs me as he looks out the window of the hospital cafeteria.

After three weeks in a coma, EunWoo's mother finally woke up and I decided to visit her to meet her and wish her a good recovery.
I even brought her a homemade tart as a present.

As soon as she saw me she was very happy to meet me and to know that EunWoo had made a new friend at work.

Looking at her, the remnants and damage left by the car accident were very evident, and surely those wounds and scars will remain for a long time to come.
Her movements were very limited and she complained of pain all over her body very often, as the spinal column is a very crucial part for the human body to be able to move.

But fortunately she was not paralysed as the doctors had deduced, as they tried to do everything possible to avoid this.

"And what did they decide to do?" I ask taking a sip of my coffee.

After visiting his mother, EunWoo decided to take me to the hospital cafeteria and buy me a drink to thank me for accompanying him.

He looks at me and smiles slightly. A smile that doesn't seem satisfied though.

"They will deprive him of his personal freedom by imprisonment," he says, resting his chin on his hand.

"For how long?"

He lets out a light sigh and replies.

"They don't know yet as they first need testimonies from my mother, who is still in rehabilitation."

I also let out a sigh in turn.

As soon as we finish our coffees, we decide to get up and leave, and he offers to drive me home in his car.
An offer that I obviously did not refuse, as I don't feel like waiting for the bus for 20 minutes in the cold.

The return journey is quiet but peaceful.
Once he pulls up in front of the house I get out of the car and wish him a good day, but before I can close the door he calls me.

"Y/N, wait!"

As soon as I hear my name I duck slightly and look at him waiting for him to say something.
EunWoo looks at me for a few seconds contemplating what to say or not.

"Thank you for meeting my mum and keeping me company," he admits, smiling. A sincere smile.

I smile back at him and reply.

"You're welcome, it was a real pleasure. Give her my regards and tell her I hope she recovers, okay?"

He nods again with a smile on his face and waves goodbye.

Immediately afterwards I close the door of his car and head for the one of my house. Before opening the door I turn around and notice that EunWoo's car is still parked in front of my house, but this time the tinted windows are up.

After I open the door and go inside, I immediately run over to the window to check if his car was still there, but when I look outside, I notice his car in the distance about to turn the corner.

Apparently he had stayed there to make sure I got home safely without getting hurt.
At the thought, a small smile makes its way onto my face.

However, my smile disappears when I feel my phone vibrate on my pocket, so I pick it up mentally wondering who the person calling me at this hour could be.

"YOONGLES"

As soon as I read the ID, I immediately answer.

Over the past few weeks Yoongi and I have bonded a lot, in fact we hang out and text each other really often.

Unfortunately he is still sick and still wears a mask.
He told me that he has also started taking medication to alleviate his illness, and that it is having an effect.

"Yoongi! Your timing is always perfect, you know?" I admit without giving him time to say hi.

I hear him chuckle slightly on the other end of the line.

"Why did you call?" I ask after a few seconds of silence that had built up in the call.

At my question I hear noises coming from his side, objects moving around.

"Ah..yes, I called to ask you if you'd like to hang out," he offers in a shy, almost embarrassed tone.
I bet he's not used to asking things like that.

"Sure, what time?"

"7pm sharp. Send me your address, I'll pick you up in the car if you feel comfortable"

At his suggestion, my eyebrows furrow and a confused expression is drawn on my face.

I make to reply, but am blocked by his firm and ready voice.
"But JiHoon's coffee shop is closed at that time-"

"No, we're not going to drink a coffee again, Y/N," he admits, leaving my sentence in midair.

"I'm inviting you on a date this time," he confesses.
