Today was not supposed to go like this. it was my day off and i was sitting in my quarters reading my book, when sam came rushing covered in blood, my eyes widened there was so much blood all over him. i threw my book on my floor and rushed out

When i got to the medical wing, i slammed the door open and there i saw a man with a leg missing. he was screaming in so much pain. i rushed over to him to see the damage and it wasn't pretty. i told sam what i needed and started to work on this man. i don't let any of my soldiers in my care die on me.... no way!

Hours have gone by, blood all over the floor and myself he was finally stable. i walked to a chair that was in the corner of the room and slummed down. i ran my hands over my face forgetting that there was blood on my hands...wasn't the first time i have forgot to wash my hands

''Hey y/n you did amazing he is stable, lost lots of blood but he will be okay'' sam kneeled down and patted my knee

Sam was also a nurse like me, he joined after a couple of months. he is really sweet and kind to me, i couldn't ask for a better friend to help me in these situations.

''Thank you sam, I'm glad he is okay. Let's give him some space'' i stood up, leaving the room and started to walk to my room. Sam followed

''I'm gonna take a shower and i will meet you at the cafeteria yeah?'' i turned around facing sam before i headed to my room

''Yeah no problem i will see you there'' sam smiled and turned on his heel and walked the other way

I stepped into my room and took a big sigh, i looked down all covered in blood. there wasn't a day i go by without not being covered in blood. i started to walk into my bathroom, i peeled off the bloody clothes and threw them in my washing basket and stepped in the shower turning it on.

The hot water ran down my body blood following, it always haunts you, every time getting in the shower you are bound to have someone else's blood on your hands it never gets easier.

Rolling your head around you grabbed your loofa and started to wash your body getting rid of any other blood that was left.

After some time you got out of the shower and walked into the bedroom, chills ran through your body it was so cold in your room. you opened your wardrobe and got yourself some Gray joggers, black hoodie and socks and slides. it was supposed to be your day off so why not go all out and be comfy?

Walking into the canteen i saw sam eating away at his sandwich looking though his phone, no doubt tinder...always complaining about not having a girlfriend. i walked up his table and sat down

''Any luck on tinder'' i giggled and lent forward to see his phone

''HEY! go away and no i haven't'' sam pulled his phone to his chest and gave you a death stare

Both of you laughed and talked for a hour or so until you heard the door in the canteen swing open. you turned your head and saw kate, you wondered why she is there.

Kate looked around the room until she saw you and pointed at you
