Newt pov
There won't be a bloody next time. I'll keep her safe no matter what. I start walking towards the Med-Jacks hut to check on y/n. She lays motionless in the make-shift bed. Clint walks over to me. "Is she okay?" I ask. "She should be fine. She will be in a coma a few days or weeks. Just give her time," he says. I nodded. I take a closer look at y/n after Clint leaves. Her hair is spread across the pillow, her lips parted slightly, her chest rising and falling with steady breaths. She was beautiful. We're just friends. I think to myself. I'm officially friend zoned. Joy... I glance at her once more, before walking towards the gardens. "There you are, Newt!" Zart says. I grab a hoe and begin my routine. "You okay?" Zart asked. "Yeah, why?" I ask, raising my brow in confusion. "You seem distracted," he says, shrugging. "I'm fine, just stressed," I declare. It wasn't a complete lie, I've been stressed about y/n lately. I hoe the ground, ignoring the stares I earn. After hours of working, I can finally see y/n. I limp towards the Med-Jacks hut and walk in. I grab y/n's hand, I begin to talk to her. "Hey, love," I whisper. "I hope you wake up soon," I said. I run my thumb across her hand. I then kiss her forehead.
Your pov
Darkness surrounds me. I try opening my eyes, but they feel as if they were glued shut. I feel a warm, large hand grab mine. "Hey, love," the voice says. Newt. My heart speeds up. He begins to rub the pad of his thumb across my hand. He then kisses my forehead. "Good night, love," he whispers. He then leaves. Good night, Newt.
~2 hours later~
Ughhh! I've been laying here forever! I once again tried opening my eyes, but failed. Focus! I yelled at myself. C'mon! Almost.... Aha! My eyes finally snap open and I laugh like a maniac. I'm awake! Finally! I stand up gingerly, then walk to the kitchen. I walk inside and all eyes are on me. Newt grins and runs to me. "Love! You're awake!" He exclaimed, pulling me in a bear hug. "Go get something to eat, then back to bed you go," Minho said. "But Min Min," I whined. "No buts, off you go," he ordered.
