Emma tip toes on the grass. She hates to get her brand new pink high heels messed up, but she has to go unnoticed as she sneaks back to the penthouse. The fashion loving teen snuck out to go to a party even though Jessie told her not to. The only way for her to not get noticed by someone who could report her to Jessie - like say Officer Petey - is to walk behind the playground and through the most isolated part of Central Park.
Emma continues to walk when all of a sudden, she trips on something.
"Ah!" She yelps before falling on her face. She spits the grass out of her mouth.
"What did I just trip over?" She turns her head around. Her eyes widen as she's notices a man laying there in the grass.
"Or rather, who did I just trip over?" Emma immediately stands up.
She stares at him. His eyes are closed. The blonde teen gasps and assumes the worst.
"I can't believe someone murdered a guy and just dumped in his body in the park!" Emma's breathing gets heavier and she looks freaked out.
However, the man opens his eyes at the sound of her voice, disproving Emma's whole murder theory.
Now it's the man turn to freak out as he notices her. He immediately stands up. He grabs something off the ground and points it at her.
"Back off! I have a water gun and I am not afraid to use it!!" He shouts hysterically as he continues to the point the water gun at her.
Emma seems to recognize the voice. And the moonlight gives her enough illumination that squinting allows her to see the guy's face - which she also recognizes.
"Hudson? Is that you?" She questions.
Hudson slowly puts down the water gun. "If you're an undercover cop, then no, I'm, uh... Henry. But if you're not, then yes, I am."
"Hudson, I'm not a cop. It's me, Emma Ross. One of Jessie's kids?"
Hudson smiles as he remembers her now. "Oh yeah! Hey there, bro-cita!"
Emma looks at him curiously. "What are you doing here in the park at 3 in the morning?"
Hudson starts to look defensive. He puts his hands on hips. "Well, I - I could ask you the same thing."
Emma darts her eyes before saying, "Uh, isn't it obvious? I snuck out to go to a party. After all, I'm a teenager. Sneaking out to go to parties is what we do."
Emma isn't afraid to tell Hudson, since she knows he's more cool about these types of things than Jessie is.
Hudson nods his head and smiles. "It's a good thing you're enjoying your life, bro-cita. You better enjoy it while you still can."
Hudson's voice quivers as he says the last sentence. It almost sounds like he is on the verge of crying. The man also turns his head around, as if he's hiding his tears.
Emma then walks up to him, where she can see his face again. "Hudson, is everything okay?"
Hudson lifts his head up. He sighs as he looks at her. "In all honestly, bro-cita - no, everything isn't as a-okay as it used to be."
The blonde teen continues to look at him for more explanation.
"Stuart's parents fired me two weeks ago. And I got fired from every other job I took, which means I don't have money for a place to stay... So I'm living in the park, even though I'm not supposed to be. I'm always scared that a cop is going to catch me one day and then I'll be in jail - and I've heard that jail is not a cool place at all."
