“My son” Gilbert said to Alei. It was January 4th 1973, and Gilbert was on his deathbed. “Yes dad?” Alei responded. “Please, create a machine. Something that can, can make more robotic bodies. New second chances for people. I want to… to be put in that machine. I want to see people live on. I want to see this damned virus wiped off the earth.”

Alei understood. In June of 1973, the machine was complete, and much like what happened with the children happened with the machine and Gilbert. It took a bit, but much like with the children Gilbert awoke. The news about the machine was spread across the globe, but it spread across America sooner. And that’s when the news got into Alison’s hands.
