Monday, May 14th, 2017, 3:30 PM: The school festival that we've spent all week preparing for. You want to say that you're excited about the festival, which wouldn't be entirely untruthful... but you can't deny that you're most excited to spend time with Sayori and Yuri. You and Yuri just finished your banner lettering when two of the girls walked in: Monika and Sayori. They were chatting excitedly. You could see Sayori's eyes light up as she saw us, you smiled an inviting welcome at her.

Sayori: "Hi Y/N! Hey Yuri! Ready for the festival? It's almost time! Hehe~!~"

You glanced at Yuri before redirecting your eyes to Sayori.

"I can't lie, I am. But mostly, I just feel overjoyed to spend the day with all of you. This club, and more importantly, you all, have changed my perspective on life and given me something to assert myself in. Before, I was just a nobody who played video games all day and watched anime. Not that there was anything wrong with those hobbies... but... I guess what I'm trying to say is, thank you. Thank all of you."

The other's stared back for a moment, taken aback by your words. Honestly, you couldn't believe it either. What did you just say??? You were never the emotional or poetic type (Ironic, you are fully aware). Sayori was the first to attempt to break the silence, but she was interrupted by Natsuki's arrival.

Natsuki: "Jeez... why are you all so quiet? Are you hiding something from me? What did I miss?"

Sayori: "I-It's not that! Y/N just said something really sweet. I'll tell you later, okay? A-anyways... Where are the cupcakes?"

Natsuki: "B-But-! Fine... And two boys are wheeling them in. There's a lot, remember? Are my cupcakes all you care about? Jeez!"

Offended, Sayori averted her eyes sheepishly. She opened her mouth to defend herself but Yuri interjected.

Yuri: "Y/N and I just finished the banner, Natsuki, would you mind helping me hang it?"

Natsuki: "Okay fine... but you owe me!"

The two walked out of the classroom, banner in hand. Sayori was talking with Monika in the back of the classroom, so you decided to make yourself useful and hang up the remaining decorations. You lit the candles just as the bell rang: the festival was officially a go. Yuri and Natsuki returned and Monika called us all together.

Monika: "Okay guys! It's time. Let's rehearse the order in which we will all perform! Okay, first up we have me, then Sayori, Yuri, Y/N, and of course, Natsuki! Did everybody bring their poems? Yes? Perfect! Let's wait for a crowd and then we will begin!"

You reached for some remaining trash on the ground- *ouch!* You bumped heads with Yuri and immediately stood up straight.

"I-I'm so sorry! Are you hurt?"

Yuri: "Haha, no... Sorry, that was my fault. I should have looked before grabbing for it."

"It's my fault too, I should be more aware of my surroundings."

You both stood silent for a moment before gazing into each other's eyes. The atmosphere grew tense as you fumbled for the right words to say. Fortunately, for once, Yuri seemed to say them for you.

Yuri: "I, um, had a really fun time with you today. I-I... I wouldn't mind if we k-kept on.. doing... having these fun times. I love being friends with you..."

"I love being friends with you too... I..."

You felt eyes on you and paused, glancing over Yuri's shoulder. The others were staring, and you saw Monika smirking before realizing you were staring at her. She blushed with a sheepish smile before pulling the others away. You told her about your plan today, and the others were more than supportive.

     Yuri: "Y-Y/N? Are you okay?"

"Y-Yeah, sorry about that I... spaced..."

Seeing the gentle caring gaze of Yuri burn right through you, you paused for a moment and took a deep breath. Every day with Yuri was a great day, even the sad ones. You couldn't name anything you wanted more than to spend the rest of your life with her. Today was the day you confessed.

"Actually, no. I'm not okay, Yuri."

Yuri's face grew serious as she held your hands in hers. Her skin was soft and warm, it was like touching an angel.

Yuri: "I-If I did something wrong-"

You cut her off, putting a finger to her lips.

"Yuri, I love you. I'm deeply in love with you and I need to hear you say it back. I've never been happier than this past week, and yes it's partially due to the club, but it wouldn't be the same without you. It just wouldn't. I want to spend the rest of my life by your side. Do you accept?"

Slowly, you removed your finger from her soft lips, though she remained silent. Slowly, tears began to form in her eyes. The air grew heavy as you began to sweat. You messed up. You shouldn't have confessed, she's too good for you. Of course, she wouldn't-

Yuri: "Yes...! yes, I accept! Y/N, I have felt this unrequited love for so long, or so I thought... since the day I met you I've yearned for your return for my feelings. I can't express how happy I am right now... I'm happy... uu... I didn't think this was possible. Thank you, Y/N. I love you, too."
