"Duce, leave her alone she just nervous" Desirae said rolling her eye
" I know, I'm just messing with her. I know the exact same feeling Jayden right?"

"Well my name Duce, short for D'Usee. My momma a alcoholic" He said shaking his head

"Girl Duce is a mess" Desirae said laughing

I nodded, as we lined up so we could get ready to march into the sanctuary. Pastor spoke, soon after the door swung open and we began walking in. I looked over seeing Mya smiling
I glanced over at Dru but he just kept a super straight face, since he was seated right next to his grandmother. Once we made it to our seats, Desirae and Duce made their way to the front microphone to lead the song.
"He saw the best in me....When everyone else around could only see the worse in me" Desirae started singing lowly
"I wish I had witness in here tonight" Duce sang, his voice cracked a little. I could tell he was going through the stages of his voice changing
We all soon joined in, I slowly swayed back and forth looking straight ahead trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. Anytime I sang, in order to fight down my nerves. I always looked down at the floor or at a blank wall.
After finishing two songs, we sat down as Cyrus walked over to the microphone to say the opening prayer.
