Orion woke up to crashing sounds coming from outside in the garden. He got out of bed and put a loose yellow kimono on with hakama pants over them, he couldn't be bothered tying them before he went outside. He opened the shoji door and slid his gets shoes on before stepping onto the stones that covered almost the whole of the gardens floor.
He made his way over to kazuya who was training by herself on the area of sandy terrain that sat near the back of the garden.
He watched her as she swung her nichirin around emitting vibrant red and orange flames with each move. She wasn't moving around very much but you could tell from the force of her swings and the bursts of flames that she was making alot of strong hits.
Perhaps she never noticed Orion, or maybe she did but decided to pay no mind to him and to instead focus on her training. He simply just stood back and watched.
He was always amused whilst watching kazuya fight. Shes been training for roughly a year now and has made amazing progress. He was proud of her. it made him feel like he was a father, proud of his daughters achievements.
Orion put his blonde hair up in a pony tail and drew his nichin. He took one quick swing into her training and immediately disarmed her using his own blade.
"H-huh... hey! Rude! I was training. How long have you been here?!" She sounded shocked and you could tell she was caught off guard. Orion laughed. "I've been watching for five or so minutes. It's safe to say you have greatly improved on your technique"
She smiled. "Yea I feel like I'm starting to get better at this!" She sounded happy.
Orion tied his hakama pants before taking five steps back from kazuya, standing direct opposite from her.
"How about a duel, eh? I don't use any breathing techniques and you use me to practice. How does that found?" She nodded and weilded her sword, holding it in both hands. Orion fixed his grip on his nichirin and held it Infront of himself.
Kazuya breathed in before swinging at Orion.
The two fought for half a hour before kazuya tired herself... Well that was her excuse anyway. Orion won the fight but she tried to muster up every excuse she had to try defend herself.
"You done well kazuya. You need to work on your agility, other then that you done great." He gave her criticisms on her fighting skills, she enjoyed the criticism from him as he was a more skilled swordsman then herself.
She hugged the man she just fought. The embrace was tight. Orion wrapped his arms around her and the two hugged for a minute before letting go.
"Orion-sama..." Kazuya asked.
"Yes?" He answered. It was odd for kazuya to use honorifics whilst addressing him.
"I'm hungry!"
"How about you go make us some food then?" He smiled, she smiled back. Kazuya loved cooking, she enjoyed doing it for both her and Orion at the start and end of their days. It was her way of showing appriceation towards all the great things Orion had done for her.
Which included saving her life.
To her it was a way of repaying him. Orion found it sweet but reassured her that she didn't need to repay him in any way. She didn't care though.
She left and headed through to the kitchen and began making food for the two of them.
Orion followed shortly after. He loved watching her cook.
