An amber sunset arose from the horizon ahead of me. All I could see was a tawny colored cookie in the distance. "STICK 'EM UP! SURRENDER! NOW!" Rye Cookie yelled at the top of her lungs after noticing a person a few feet away from her. Once I curiously walked a little bit towards Rye's vision, she realized the mistake she made and apologized. "Oh. You aren't Chili Pepper Cookie. My bad!" She said in an 'I made my mistake and just realized it' way.

"It's okay! I'd never do any harm! I'm Peyton! Pleasure to meet you!" I introduced myself, waiting for her to say the next thing.

"Oh, hi there!" Rye said as she put down her gun in her pocket. She extended her hand out so I could shake it. I did, and before long, she put the conversation into second gear. "Would you happen to know where Chili Pepper Cookie is? You could say... I have a bone to pick with her..."

I gave her the information on Chili Pepper I knew: "I have no clue, but I keep seeing her sign around the kingdom. Whenever I go to the bakery, the focaccias always have a bit of spice that wasn't there before..." For context, Chili left a long and winding road of brittle pepper flakes running down her hair like a waterfall every where she went, so it was easy for even the most amateur detectives to spot her, but somehow, the fiery smell always distracted the people around her.

"Ah! She's even messing with my cookies!" Rye said in a dramatic and shocked way and shook her fist to show the anger bubbling up inside. "I swear I will bring her to justice. Mark my words." I marked Rye's words as her voice got a little more dramatic as she went along.

"I will help you bring her to justice!" I replied, showing my inner trooper and stubbornness with this certain scenario.

"Great! But first, we have to find her. Any idea where to start looking?" Rye replied, her brain slowly working faster and faster as she spoke, thinking deeply about where to find her. Her and I thought for a solid twenty seconds.

"Try the Tree of Wishes." I replied. That place was always crowded around sunset, with the Kingdom's Cookies making Wishes and the bird and factory workers making last minute negotiations, always making pacts and promises for fulfilled Wishes. "I smell a lot of pepper flakes there." I alluded to the fact that Chili Pepper was there. Upon hearing this, Rye thought for a moment.

"Well then, let's get going Peyton!" Rye took off, running faster than a cheetah. I followed suit, expecting both the best and worst for the current situation. She made a sudden stop at the Tree, using her nostrils to her advantage. "I smell pepper flakes around here, alright. And they seem a bit too fresh as well." Rye said, sniffing every last nook and cranny for evidence. Immediately, she noticed the ground below her and saw the trails of paprika. "Look at the ground, Peyton. There's Chill Pepper Cookie's pepper trail. Quick! Let's follow it!" I ran off, following the trail like I was playing a game of Follow The Leader in elementary school.

After about ten minutes, we arrived at Chili Pepper's lair, ready to find her and give her the proper punishment we knew she deserved. "Wow, Peyton! Here we are! And we found Chili Cookie. Let's get her, eh?" Rye pulled her guns back out and rushed inside with me following closely behind. I finally made it in. Rye pulled her six shooters out, pointed them at Chili Pepper, and spoke in a cold, calm, and dark voice. "I've been hunting you for a long time, Chili. Get ready to face the consequences of your actions. We will have our justice." She paused, looked at me, and then said: "So, what should we do with her, bud?" I took one hard thought and a breath, and said, "Get 'er." Rye followed my commands with ease and, in an unsuspecting way, took her rope out and put her guns back. She strutted over to Chili Pepper and tied her up quicker than someone could exclaim 'yes'. "We did it, bud. We got Chili Pepper Cookie."
