"Mom! Mom! Are we going to go to the doctor yet?" Shouts a little boy, full of wonder and excitement. His mother, a proud woman by the name of Inko Midoriya, smiles at his excitement. "Sure sweetie! Just let mommy get her purse, then we can go."
As she walks off, the boy comes into view, with his mop of green curls. The hair belongs to one Izuku Midoriya. A boy who no matter what is going on never seems to lose his bright attitude.
As Inko turns to her son, she is reminded of her husband, who is at work, and her daughter, who is at school. Her lover is Toshinori Yagi, not that asshole, the man who never stopped smiling. However, he always seemed to take his time for his family when he knew they needed it most.
Her daughter is a year older. She is also the most popular girl in school, even if she struggles a little with some subjects. Having inherited her mother's quirk with a slight mutation.
Quirk: Telekinetic Battery.
Type:Emitter
Description: Izumi's quirk treats her mind as a battery, allowing her to use telekinetic abilities. When her "battery" is depleted, she goes into a state of mind where her thoughts are slow to process. Another drawback is the fact that her battery can overcharge, boosting her powers but also making control harder. To recharge, she must clear her mind of all thoughts for 30 minutes or sleep.
On the walk to the car, Izuku asks a question that Inko didn't quite know how to reply to. "Mom? What if I'm quirkless?" Unsure of how to reply, she just turns and crouches down to his height. "Me and your father will never stop loving you, no matter if you have a quirk or not. I promise" She tells him, unknowing of the chaos that could uncoil from her words.
Izuku just looks at her with a slight frown, then proceeds to get in the car as Inko walks to the driver's seat. He struggles a little bit to get it to buckle, and hearing this She turns and asks him "do you need help getting it buckled?" Looking up at her, Izuku just smiles and shakes his head, right as a click can be heard from next to him.
"Okay then! What music do you want to listen to while we head to the doctor's office?" Inko asks, backing slowly into the street. "I want to listen to Put Your Hands Up Radio! Please?" He replies, only barely remembering to say please. Hearing this, Inko just laughs and shakes her head, having already anticipated him asking for that radio station.
The car ride passes by, with Izuku seeing a few heroes walking on the sidewalks, before they roll up to the pediatrician's office. As they walk in, they are hit with a blast of strong antiseptic smell. Izuku coughs a little because of how strong it is, before they walk up to the front desk to check in for their appointment.
"Hello? How may I help you?" The receptionist asks, smiling slightly. "Hi, we have an appointment under the name Midoriya. We're here to check in." Inko replies, voice clear and precise, knowing exactly what she wants. "Oh! You're here for your 11:00 quirk checkup, right?" The receptionist says, calmly. "Just head on in."

"Your son has a minor symbiosis quirk, but it needs to be activated to do anything. The machines are unable to tell you what the requirements are, even though they found the "lock" in his genes. It seems to be related to his physical and emotional state, though." The doctor states, reading off of a chart to ensure he said all he needed to say.
"Do you know where these genes could have come from? In his file, it states that you and his father have a minor telepathic quirk, and a fire-breathing quirk, respectively." He asks, not looking up from the chart.
"No, doctor, I don't know where this could have come from. It must have been a mutation." Inko muses. "It doesn't matter. As a doctor, I am required to ask you to not practice trying to unlock it at home, for there may be a risk of him getting injured whilst trying to unlock it." He tells her, finally looking up from the chart. His bushy mustache and green goggles catch Izuku's interest immediately.
Seeing this, the doctor grins at him, making Izuku smile back. He just learned about his quirk! "Mom! I can be a hero!" He shouts enthusiastically. Getting up to leave, she grabs Izuku's hand and then giggles as he celebrates. "Come on, Izu, we need to go home, so we can make katsudon to celebrate!" She tells him, as they both walk to the car. Hearing this, he rushes to get to the car faster, excited he gets to have his favorite food in celebration.
The drive home is quiet, as the radio plays in the background. Both Inko and Izuku sit there in comfortable silence. As they roll into the garage, Inko notices Toshi's car parked by the sidewalk. So she assumes that he picked Izumi up from school. When they walk in, they are greeted by the sound of the TV playing the news, and the sight of Izumi doing her homework on the dinner table. "We're home!" Inko shouts, wanting to announce her arrival without startling anyone. As Izuku walks in, he closes the door gently behind him.
Toshinori walks up, hugging Inko, then asking her, "How did the appointment go? What's his quirk?"
"His quirk is... What do you want to call it Izuku?" She asks after realizing he never named it. "I want to call it Symbiosis! It sounds cool, even if I don't know what it means." He replies, thinking about what the big word could mean.
"That's a cool name! What does it do?" Toshinori asks, getting Izumi's attention. "Hey Zuku, what does it do?" she questions, even though it was asked by her father. "Oh! Well you see..."
