When Bao Zheng stopped, Zhan Zhao and Bai Yutang are amazed by the sight. Some of them couldn’t believe that this was in S city and felt like they had been sent abroad.
It took nearly three hours for the car to take them to their destination, a desolate gully, a pure white building complex. The towering power grid and occasional patrolmen with guns, these were marking that this place is definitely not an ordinary place.
“What? How do you feel?” Bao Zheng looked at the two children who were obviously shocked.
“Feeling…” Bai Yutang raised eyebrows, “Like Guantanamo…”
“… What the hell is this?” Zhan Zhao asked Bao Zheng.
Bao Zheng lit a cigarette: “Special Pathological Phenomena Research Center.”
Bai Yutang smiled: “It’s decent. Is it a medical institution or a military and political institution? Or prison.”
Bao Zheng glanced at him and said, “There are some of the smartest lunatics in the country.”
“The man you want us to meet is in here, too?” Zhan Zhao asked.
“His name is Zhao Jue.” Bao Zheng said faintly, put out the smoke, “Go in.”
Bai Yutang asked Zhan Zhao curiously, “You didn’t know there is such a place! Are you not an “expert”? “
Zhan Zhao quietly walked forward: “They wrote to me, hoping that I would participate.”
“Oh?” Bai Yutang was surprised. “Then why didn’t you go?”
Zhan Zhao sneers: “Psychology studies people.”
“Aren’t there humans here?”
… After a moment of silence, Zhan Zhao said gloomily, “It’s the material…”
Bao Zheng obviously came here frequently, and the staff in white coats in the research center said hello to him from time to time.
The three people walked all the way through the hall, which was a corridor with almost no end. The iron doors opened and closed one by one, as if they were watching monsters instead of human beings – white powdery walls, tile floors, cold, bright and gloomy, almost ghostly cold.
Finally, Bao Zheng stopped in front of a heavy iron door, pressed his finger against the fingerprint scanner, and the door opened with a click.
Pushing open the iron door, they can see a huge glass curtain wall in the center of the room. Behind the glass, there is a black metal railing – cell!
The furnishings in the railings are simple and clean. Surrounded by snow-white walls, sunlight is transmitted from the glassy window above the wall. With the reflective effect of glass, the whole room was speckled with light and shadow. Along the corner of the wall, a row of green plants were placed, among which there are occasionally a few white bone flowers, African Calla.
