"I really want to check out this new release. It's about a girl who finds out she's Satan's daughter, but her mother is an angel, so she's torn between three worlds, and..." Dipper glared at me. "Mabel are you listening?"

"Nope!" I shook my head and gravitated towards a section filled with books about unicorns and rainbows.

Dipper sighed as he examined some old history books.

Suddenly, I heard a thump on the other side of the bookcase Dipper was looking at as something hit it. The bookcase fell over. Blood splattered everywhere.

Dipper was dead.

And then I woke up.

I woke up screaming in my bed, in a cold sweat and hyperventilating.

Dipper was at my side immediately. "Mabel, are you okay?"

"Just a nightmare." I reassured him. "It's okay."

"Well, it better be!" He grinned. "Because we're going to the library today!"

I didn't know why, but that gave me chills. "Okay...whatever ya say, bro bro!"

Dipper was already dressed, so I pulled on a deep purple sweater with silver rhinestones in ornate Indian designs across it. It was my multi-cultural favorite. I threw on a silver miniskirt and my black slip-ons and followed him downstairs.

Stan had muffins out, so I grabbed a blueberry one and we headed out.

The walk through the woods was nice and calming, and I forgot about my nightmare completely, at least for the time being. I admired the colorful flora and fauna and waved at the birds as they passed by. It was peaceful, and it ended all too soon. Soon we were stepping into town and walking into the Gravity Falls library.

Dipper began a book rant immediately. "I really want to check out this new release. It's about a girl who finds out she's Satan's daughter, but her mother is an angel, so she's torn between three worlds, and..." He glared at me. "Mabel are you listening?"

"Nope!" I shook my head and gravitated towards a section filled with books about unicorns and rainbows.

I had a strange feeling of déjà vu. I couldn't shake the creeping sensation this had happened before.

Then I got it. I remembered my dream as soon as I heard the thump behind the bookshelf Dipper was examining.

"Dipper, look out!" I screamed, panicking. I managed to leap over and pull him away just in time, falling to the ground a safe five feet away from the fallen bookshelf.

"What just happened?" Dipper sat up and rubbed his head, then noticed the bookshelf. "Mabel, you saved me!"

"I...did." I whispered, mostly to myself. I'd just saved my brother's life, but that wasn't what was on my mind. What I was thinking about was how I'd had a dream last night predicting this. How?

"I'm so sorry!" A black-haired woman ran over to us. I assumed she was the one who knocked the bookshelf over."Are you two okay?"

"Yeah!" I said, but what I was thinking was, Thanks to my weird dream we are.

We walked home disgruntled from our experience, but my mind was still processing the same question.

How did I see that coming?
