The Disappearance

Prologue

February the 14th! A day that Sean had eagerly waited for with bated breath. That was the day when he would finally meet with his long lost crush. Sean had lastly seen Jane six years ago before she left for Venice to pursue a career in Nursing.

"What if she has changed ? Will she even remember me ? "Numerous questions kept on ringing in Sean's mind.He dismissed the thoughts and with a lot of gusto sprung out of his bed to head to the bathroom for a quick shower.

Since Jane had left those six years had been a wonderful time for Sean. He had completed his course and graduated with first class honours in Medicine and Surgery degree.He was currently head of the Surgery department at Hopkins Hospital. A man who had achieved such success at only twenty five years of age. Albeit such success,he still felt that he wasn't complete.

The adversity was that he still had not come to terms with what love was. Was it because he had laid too much emphasis on his career that he didn't fathom love?Or was it that he had not found the one he was destined for.

After the bath he clad himself in his latest Calvin Klein black tuxedo with black tanned leather shoes. He had a good feeling that a meet up with Jane would revive the feeling of love in him that was so long lost.But would a simple date just do so? Sean grabbed his car keys and headed straight to the main door after waving goodbye to his Nana who was living with him after the passing of his Grandpa two years ago. He passed past the glass doors that spit him out of the building.

Sean revved the engine of his new Escalade which sped past the gates which slid open to let him through. His destination was the Greenhubb Resort where he was to meet with Jane. He had bought carnations which were Jane's favorite flowers and a packet of chocolate not to forget the salt and vinegar chips which Jane couldn't go without. What Sean didn't know was that the date that he had eagerly waited for was never going to happen at all.
