Narrator Pov
Tomiju Fukumoto was born on 16th November 2112. In a world where the earth's climate had already reached its breaking point. People were forced to use special gas masks to step outside in most areas, especially in overpopulated and polluted cities just like her birthplace, Tokyo. You could see people dying in dozens just by taking a walk outside or begging for a used mask with their sore throats that signaled they were doomed anyway.
But Tomiju had something that most people in the world didn't, money and power. She was born as the daughter of Ankoku Fukumoto, Ceo of the biggest electronics company in the whole world who only had 1 person standing over him but most importantly, a tyrant who was causing dozens of employees to die from overwork annually.
Many might believe she would experience the pain of forced education and the expectations of a father who would undoubtedly marry her off to someone of his choosing. But she was lucky because her father had a special place in his heart for her mother, he genuinely loved her with all his heart. So when her mother stood dead before him thanks to complications that appeared during childbirth he was devastated. But when the nurse gave you to him, he knew what to do from then on. He would protect this child, this last gift that his wife left him was too delicate for this cruel world that took his wife. Why send her to a private school renowned for raising elites when he can homeschool her? Why make her take pointless hours of lessons in courtesy, music, or art when she can just relax like he wanted his wife to do? Why search for a fiance in advance for her, when his daughter should be the one to make that choice?
Ankoku swore he will allow his daughter to live her life the way she wanted. As long as he is next to her she wouldn't even have to lift a single finger, and that is exactly what happened. Tomiju was raised as a spoiled child who would always receive what she wanted and Ankoki would always be there to make sure her wishes were fulfilled. She ate food made from natural plants and living animals, not the fake plastic most people ate. She studied diligently since she didn't want to test her luck and refuse to study the easy subjects her father chose for her. A lot of her time was spent playing video games, especially once the deep-dive VR games became a thing. That was her life until the year 2138 at the age of 26, on a night when her father called once again a night escort that resembled her mother to his bedroom while she was awaiting the ending of her favorite game. Something happened to her that will change her life forever and, depending on her choices...the whole new world she finds herself in.
Location ???
Tomiju POVI always got what I wanted. When I was little I told my father I wanted to smell real flowers and see the few rare animals left in the world. He of course fulfilled my wish and I got the chance to smell the flowers and pet the animals I wanted. But right now, in a game that only allowed a minuscule amount of feeling and nothing else, I was able to smell the grass and other fragrances I did in real life. I was able to feel the weak wind on my skin. But the most overwhelming was what I was hearing: birds happily singing while flapping their wings high in the sky, and animals and insects moving around in all directions. It was so overwhelming I instinctively covered my ears with my hands and tried to make sense of everything that was assaulting my now sensible ears.
But all of a sudden I could feel a hand on my back.
???: Lady Mobius, are you alright?!
Even though the voice was akin to a blaring siren to my ears, I could feel the concern and warmth coming from it. But why was she calling me "lady"?
???: Was Mobius-sama affected by a magic attack?!
???: I already double-checked but there is no hostile magic effect coming off her...I also couldn't detect whatever transported us here. Did you check for curses or debuffs?
