Alexander's pov:

Elly and I had made our way into the diner, it was not particularly big but it would do for the two of us.Today was one of the few times Elly had asked to chase with me so I accepted graciously, although hesitantly. Today's forecast seemed to be filled with back to back thunderstorms, which I was grateful for.

Elly walked up to the counter first with me trailing right behind her, I could see clouds start to roll in from the west and I just prayed they would hold their strength till Elly and I were able to get on the road again.

"For two." Elly said in her normal sweet voice, The waitress gave a smile before grabbing two menus from behind the counter. I looked around the diner and it had a cozy feeling to it, it reminded me of how things used to be which brought a smile to my face. The waitress took us to our booth and we both sat down quickly.

I could see the coming storm through the window which I was happy about, meaning I could keep an eye on it and see if it starts to dissipate before I waste gas trying to get out there.

"You know, you look very intent on this storm." Elly said while leaning on the table slightly, her voice bringing me out of my thoughts of chasing and to the present.

"Well, I'm actually very intent on having lunch with my wife." I shoot back with a smile, to which she returns. The waitress returns to take our drink orders, which I just ordered my normal black coffee and Elly, her normal Ice tea.

"I bet you are." She says with a laugh, I couldn't help but also laugh slightly.

"I mean it Els', I'm very grateful to be having this moment. When was the last time we got to go on a date and storm chasing together?" I say and Elly takes a moment to make it look like she was thinking, then looks back at me.

"1968." She answered, I just shrugged and nodded.

"Sounds about right, you can't really go on a date and out chasing with Kid can you?" I reply with a laugh, Elly just smiles. Our coffee and tea was brought to the table and we asked the waitress for a few more minutes before ordering to which she just smiled and nodded before walking off.

Outside a team of cars pulled into the parking lot, I laughed to myself slightly at the sight of the 1989 Chevy Suburban. Behind it was a Truck I had seen before, but never in the same area as my son and his team.

"Speaking of our child, he just pulled in." I say and Elly quickly looks out the window. Out of the suburban came Jonas and Eddie, out of the truck came a redheaded woman wearing a black tank top and a red flannel and some ripped blue jeans and black boots. I recognized her loosely but couldn't put a name to her.

She said something to Jonas then made her way quickly over to Eddie,I could see both Eddie and Jonas catch sight of my truck then turn back to each other. I laughed slightly at their realization that I was here as well. Jonas walked ahead of the group and to the door, he said something to the redhead before opening the door.

Jonas walked into the diner with Eddie and the redhead behind him, the rest of his team followed in as well. Elly had a smile on her face as she waited for Jonas to see us and acknowledge us.

"Do you think Jone Jone has a Girlfriend?" Elly whispers slightly while turning to me excitedly.

"Most definitely not, I mean if you are referring to the redhead she is most definitely not amused." I say while watching the girl's body language, The waitress got a bunch of menus and started leading Jonas and his team to one of the larger tables. Jonas did see us but didn't acknowledge us.

The team had sat down, Eddie sat in the middle of the group with the redhead to the right of him and Jonas at the end. The rest of the team was on Eddies left.
