A/N: I made Rotxo an actual brother to Aonung and Tsireya here

--------------------------------------------------------------

You disapproved of the way Aonung treated Lo'ak and Kiri. You had found out from his group of friends that both Aonung and Rotxo were crushing a bit on her but couldn't come to terms with their feelings for someone different, so they went a different route. Bullying or what they like to call teasing when it certainly didn't feel like it to Lo'ak and Kiri. When they first came to your home, you found him cute, noticing how the oldest brother, Neteyam, looked at Aonung's sister, Tsireya. Maybe besides his feelings for finding Kiri cute and interesting, he needed a reason to let off steam that Neteyam and Tsireya found each other cute. It was a load of fish shit, honestly. That's why Lo'ak punched him and gave him a black eye. You accepted that you found Lo'ak cute and wanted to get to know him, even if you didn't admit it out loud. No one's opinion mattered except Lo'aks and his parents, both of whom were scary.

"Hi, Y/N" You turned to Rotxo, smiling at him. You and Rotxo had similar feelings about the Sullys. Lo'ak didn't ask to be born with eyebrows and five fingers, which, in your humble opinion, suited him and made him much more alluring.

"Hi, Xo, what's up?" He picked up some netting, and the two of you weaved the nets as you talked. He told you of his crush on Kiri, and he feels he can treat her better than Aonung since Aonung is still too harsh and a bit too arrogant.

"I don't understand why he is so mean. He's really sweet when it's just us, and then that nasty persona of his goes on display." You agreed with him, having seen his sweet side and being subjected to it as well.

"He's scared of his feelings, and he's scared of accepting them because he wants to uphold his image and impress his mother. They are both so much alike, after all." The two of you talked a little more before he brought up Lo'ak.

"Any progress with Lo'ak? The two of you seem to get along well." You smiled at that, nodding in agreement. You didn't treat him differently, already understanding how much stress he might be under already. He was a troublemaker, mischievous, so that was strike one, then he had five fingers and eyebrows that was strike 2, and to top it all off? He was forced to leave his home and everything he knew, all because of the real demons coming to attack him and his family. Now, after all this stress, he didn't deserve to be an outcast when he already felt like one. "I'm glad, and he deserves someone to be nice to him." No more was said as the two of you finished the nets and moved back to the beach, where you saw the Sullys coming back from the water. You smiled at them, grinning largely when you and Lo'ak made eye contact.

"Sup Y/N. Rotxo" He had such a strange way of greeting, but it was endearing. "What did you guys do all day, weave nets?" Lo'ak had come up to you, placing a hand on your arm to lean and look at the nets. Despite having five fingers, his hands were still smaller than yours, and you were still taller than him by a foot. You loved it.

"Yeah, they tear every time the warriors go hunting. It's like braiding but bigger pieces." You were begging for him to say he would like to try so you could offer to show him. Please, Eywa, give you this chance.

"It seems hard..." This was your chance, snag it Y/N.

"I can show you if you want tomorrow. Or whenever you have time." Eywa, please. You watched as his eyebrows furrowed, resisting the strong urge to kiss them, watching as his mouth upturned into a grin, looking up to meet your eyes.

"Sure, I'll come to find you." Eywa, yes, you're the best. You nodded with a soft smile, watching as he went back to his siblings, and they all left, leaving you alone with the Tsahik siblings, who were watching you with varying looks. Aonung was giving you a weird look while Rotxo and Tsireya were smiling. You rolled your eyes fondly, waving at them.
