My secret double life

Part 1

Altagracia's pov

"Hey guys" I say to my best friends Emma and Julia we sit in the library today as always but today is no ordinary day for me. Yesterday I received the horrible news of a close friend's passing but none of my friends are aware of this because of course I can't tell them that I was friends with shield agent Phil Coulson they'd think I was crazy none of them know who my father is I've never actually told them and I don't exactly plan on telling them anytime soon that I'm the winter widow either they'd freak.

"Hey Ally." Says Emma it's a nickname that I was given since my real name is atrocious. Altagracia Ambrose while I like my last name Altagracia is a bit to put there for my liking.

"Where's MJ?" I say MJ is one of my other close friends her and I are on the debate team together at  school none of my other friends really share the same passion for arguing that we do. MJ'S really smart she's also on the Mathletes team with my guy friends Peter and Ned. Peter is the only one who know about my double life because we'll he's spider man but that and he was the first friend I made after I got back from my well being kidnapped and all.

"Late as usual." Julia chimes in. Julia is absolutely gorgeous red hair green eyes she's the one all the guys go for but she already has a boyfriend so she just shakes them off as nicely as she can.

"I have to tell you something." Emma says sounding concerned.

"What is it? Is everything ok?" I ask her.

"Yes yes everything is fine it's just... I heard Vivian talking about you in class yesterday they were saying some pretty mean things about you I just thought I should tell you." She says to me I can't say I'm surprised most people don't like me I'm either to loud to opinionated or too bitchy which isn't necessarily wrong but that's just my personality and I refuse to apologise for being who I am!

"Of course they were nothings changed in 4 whole years. You'd think they'd be sick of talking about me by now." I sigh will I ever get some peace of mind that for once someone isn't saying something about me behind my back. Probably now I've tried to change who I am I really have but.... I can't stay quiet when I know someone is doing something wrong or disrespectful to someone else I'm to well.... opinionated to shut up even though I know I should.

"I'm sorry honey." Julia says to me.

"It's fine I'll live." I say back to her.

"Just ignore them." Emma says

"I know, I know don't acknowledge them and what not I got it guys." I say.

The bell rings and we all head off too our first class of the day. Hopefully today will go fine. I have art first which is my favourite subject I'm glad I only have one or two classes with Vivian and her friends Stella, Bridget and Alex plus a few other I can't really say I care for.

Oh well maybe one day we'll make peace or something or they'll be working in some dead end office and I'll be working with kids whether it be in teaching or nursing or physical therapy or speech pathology those are the things that interest me the most. I'm not sure what universities I'll be going to yet I might move away from Midtown highschool  and go live with my aunt in Washington or something they have a university an hour from her house and 4 hours away from here which let's be honest the farther away I am from this hell whole the better.

I join the line to my visual art class and wait for my friends Calliope and Briar to show up then once art is over Callie and I will go to our Physics class to meet up with Julia, Peter, Ned and Mj if she actually decides to show up on time. What fun! Just another day at mid town high school.
