The streets were eerily silent as I wandered through them all, staying alert to catch even the slightest movement or sound. Normally, the demons I hunt would begin to sound off in confusion or frustration when they realized that they were trapped in my private plane of existence. This one though, Demon Borgrig, was trying to remain undetectable. His exhibition of stealth even when suddenly trapped said a lot about what I was up against this time. This was a demon that intended to fight back with all of its abilities.
I pulled out a string of golden beads from my sleeve, the beads dangling down before spinning up and pointing to the left in a horizontal stiffness. Following the direction, I readied myself for a surprise attack. The beads shifted in direction every now and then as the demon moved, lengthening my hunting process by an irritating amount.
Suddenly, my beads stuck straight up toward the night sky. I looked up just in time to notice a burst of magic blast towards me, dodging out of the way. Demon Borgrig landed on the street with a deafening thud and crack, the concrete shattering underneath. He was skinny in appearance and moved as if gravity didn't exist. His ram-like horns glowed with a sinister, ruby-red energy.
A mocking chuckle erupted from him. "So, Hema Azuris, you finally trapped me. I knew you were coming, but I didn't expect you to be so. . . slippery."
"What do you mean?" I inquired, stalling for time as I strategized an effective way to end this hunt. The demon put his hands behind his head casually, seemingly gleeful to talk more about his opinions.
"Why, that dodge from before is what I mean. You are a quick one. I have met many Sizunonian priestesses that have tried to exorcize me. All of them have never been able to avoid my deadly drop in time. You are an interesting one, Blood Water." He wickedly grinned, licking his lips as his pitch-black eyes scanned my figure.
"Then you should expect this fight to end with you losing. You should give up now." I warned, edging close to the Bellagio fountain that was just right beside us. If I could get close enough to it, I could give a devastating blow in one movement.
Demon Borgrig circled as well, keeping a safe distance between us. "Oh my, how delectable! It's settled then. I will win this battle and take you for myself. I like-"
I plunged my hand into the water and let it flow over my body, a lightning-fast rush of water shooting out over my other hand and pointed at him. It managed to cut his arm, black blood oozing out, but it wasn't enough. This demon moved right before the water could plunge into his heart as I had intended. This would be a tough fight indeed.
A joyful, almost insane laugh filled the air as he rose up into the sky. "Thrilling! Attacking while I was still talking! How dirty!"
My hands raised to lift gallons upon gallons of water out of the fountain to create a wave, allowing me to surf to the top and meet his level. Just as quickly though, he began to fly through the air. Determined to not let him get away, I gave chase, the wave helping me travel up to his speed.
As he flew, he turned around and tried to shoot me down with his magic, the rosy fire just barely passing by my body. As it passed by, I could hear the sound it made. Moans, groans, and screams of sexual pleasure emitted from the energy, causing my ears to turn pink with embarrassment.
"Aww, she's a bashful one! That will make taking you even more fun!" He antagonized me, throwing more magic at me to dodge. My wave shortened slightly as I pulled water from it, balancing blobs of it by my side to use as shields. I began to counter his blasts with my own, the lustful fire steaming out upon contact.
Then, Demon Borgrig abruptly switched direction to fly right at me, his demonic flames licking his palms. He had intended to hit me directly, but I successfully split my wave to drop down. Upon my downfall, I twist my body up to attempt a hit. The water surged forth, covering his ankle. I immediately motioned to pull him down, slamming him against the ground with a sickening crack. Enough water droplets cushioned my fall and helped me land in an upright position.
