A large bolder was moved aside as a burly man dressed in fur looked out upon a bunch of Liyotes lying around, soaking up the rays of the sun. Quickly, he started flailing around screaming his head off, doing the job at frightening the animals away. But one of them remained, the sitting creature was panting while looking at the odd man. Weirded out, he screamed again and watched as the last one finally understood the message.

He smiled, satisfied of his work when suddenly, out of no where, a figure of a young man roared and bounced off of his back.

Grug, surprised, looked up towards his son.

"You're supposed to wait for my signal, Eep."

Hanging on the side of the a rock, Eep ignored his father, and leapt higher.

"Eep ?"

Seeing a bunch of sleeping Liyotes besides the cave, he crept up towards them.

"Boo."

Eep smiled as they yelped and scrambled away, hitting his father in the process.

"Ow! No!"

Eep laid down and stretched his arms out, grunting and sighing in satisfaction, the sun bringing out the redness of his hair.

"Oh, we've been in that cave forever.", Eep groaned

"Three days is not forever", replied Grug.

"It is with this family."

"Eep would you come down here? You're being so... so dramatic." Grug asked.

Out came crawling from the cave a growling little girl, with half of her hair done.

"Sandy! Come back!" exclaimed a soft voice.

That was (Y/N) or, well, you. Eep smiled and looked out to the side, witnessing his lily flower run after his sister. Dressed up in a long white fur skirt with a slit running up your leg, and a white fured halter like top, you hurried up towards the baby, holding a dark grayish millipede in hand.

"What did I say Sandy? No running unless your hair is tied." (Y/N) softly said as she hurried up in tying the rest of her wild straw like brown hair.

"No, Sandy, come back here. Remember the signal. Good girls wait for the signal."

Chuckling, the young woman let the little bear go. She grabbed onto the legs of a giant bug and clamped down on it with her teeth, getting carried away by the flying insect. Ugga, the mother, jumped up to reach her baby.

"Ugga.", whined her husband.

"As soon as I get Sandy, I'll go back in, and you can give the signal. (Y/N), please come and help me get her down." she replied.

She managed to hang onto the baby's foot and dragged her away with the mother in tow.

"No, I mean, you're already out now." he complained, brows furrowed.

"I'm waiting for the signal, Dad.", an echo of a voice came out of the cave.

"Never mind, Thunk. Just come out.", Grug sighed.

"But if you don't give the signal, how do I know you're my dad?"

"The signal isn't so you know it's me. It's so you know I wasn't eaten by an animal.", Grug gestured out towards the darkness.

"Then why is the signal an animal noise? Doesn't that just confuse things?"

Frustrated, Grug placed a hand upon his forehead.
