The Croods (Male!Eep x Reader)

CH°3 : Bedtime Story

"How could they not like the cave? It's so cozy." Grug told Ugga while getting dusted.

"It is a little dark, Grug."

Hitting him one last time with the stick, Grug got on the ground and shook himself.

"It's not that dark."

Turning around, he yelled out to the two teenagers hanging outside.

"Eep! (Y/N)?" 

(Y/N) chuckled a the face her best friend made. He grumbled while climbing down, helping the girl next to him along the way. He suddenly stopped when they heard a sound. They haven't heard it before. And so, Eep climbed up again.

"Wait, Eep! Wait for me." You said.

Either he didn't hear it, or he ignored (Y/N), but he continued going up. You tried to follow him, but unlike the Croods, you weren't really good when it came to climbing. A few tiny rocks came tumbling down when you slipped. But thankfully, Eep came and helped you.

"Let's go, (Y/N)! I wanna see what's up there.", He excitedly told her.

Instructing you to climb on his back, Eep scaled the walls, ignoring your little cries of fear when he started doing difficult maneuvers to get to the top. He finally managed to get them on top of a dead tree, almost making you faint when he slipped on a broken piece of wood. 

Meanwhile, back at the cave, Grug went outside looking for the them.

"Come on, I have to close the cave." 

When suddenly Grug got hit by the broken piece of wood. Looking up, he gasps when he realised that the they were doing something very dangerous.

"Eep!", his voice echoed throughout the canyon.

"Okay, okay.", Eep replied. 

Taking the girl's hand, he started getting down.

"Come on.", his father ushered.

Unbeknownst to them, the bear owl got in. Looking back, he saw the upcoming danger, growling at him, and frantically called towards the his kids.

"Eep, (Y/N)! Come down!"

The beast was advancing rapidly. Trying to stall it, Grug armed himself with a rock and threw it at the beast, stunning it long enough for Eep and (Y/N) to get down. Once inside, Grug quickly slams the boulder to block the threat, grunting while holding it in place. When the he deemed it safe enough, Grug exhaled, stepping away.

"That was too close." , He said.

"I was watching ! I was fine, we were fine", Eep replied, annoyed.

"What were you guys doing up there, Eep ?"

"I don't know." 

"Mister Crood, don't be upset at him, I was also-"

(Y/N) started but she was ignored by the very visibly upset dad.

"What were you looking for ?"

"Nothing !" Eep said, while pushing his brother away.

Catching Thunk, Grug continued on with his questions, getting closer to Eep.

"Then why did you go up there ?"

"I don't know !"

"Why don't you know ?"

Grug grabbed his son by the head, trying to make him look him in the eyes. Exasperated, Eep groaned while getting away. You just watched as they continued.
