CHAPTER 1

3rd Person

It was just a classic Saturday afternoon, (Y/N) sat scrolling on Instagram looking at posts from friends and fans. All her old friends from Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn had all these exciting projects going on, while she was just sitting on your bed.

"(Y/N)!", her mom called, "There's a phone call for you!"

"COMING!", she yelled back, while going downstairs to her mother.

"What?" she asked while her mom pushed the phone in her hands. 

"Here." she said, with a mischievous smile on her face.

She took the phone and brought it to her ear, "Hello?" she said confused.

"Heyy (Y/N), how are you?", she immediately recognised the voice, it was Amanda from her agency.

"Hey, Amanda! I'm good how are you?" she replied.

"Fantastic, as always. But that's not why I called..."

"oh?"

"So basically, someone who works at Netflix contacted us, asking us if you could audition for a role in one of their series. (Y/N), Netflix wants you!"

"WHAT?!"

"Yes, it's for a show called The Umbrella Academy and they want you to audition for the role of a girl called Daisy Gussman. She is this super smart teenage girl, who is also the love interest of one of the mean characters, Five Hardgreeves."

"Wait, love interest?", she asked. She had played the role of Nicky Harpers' love interest before, was she now stuck to that specific type of role?

"Yes, the love interest of Five Hardgreeves", Amanda replied

"Who plays the role of Five Hardgreeves?" (Y/N) asked curiously.

"Oh, that must be Aidan, Aidan Gallagher. They told us he requested if they could reach out to us. Because you played the role of his love interest before and that it would make him happy and more comfortable to do scenes with someone he already knows than with a stranger, someone like you."

"Oh really?" she asked with a smile forming on her face.

"Yeah, so what do you think?"

She looked at her mom, who was following the whole conversation. She gave her a permission-giving smile as she spoke on the phone: "Yes, I want to audition"

"Alright, I'll let them know. Bye (Y/N)!"

"Bye Amanda"

(Y/N) and her mom started hugging each other enthusiastically. Both of them not noticing Tom, (Y/N) older brother walking in. 

"Why are you screaming?" he asked

"Why are you still living here?" (Y/N) answered sarcastically.

"Your sister is finally starting to act again! Be happy for her." (Y/N) mother defended.

"Oh, nice. I guess. What's the show or movie? Not that I care but I just gotta know what NOT to watch." he gave her an evil smile.

"A Netflix show, it's called 'The Umbrella Academy'." (Y/N) answered proudly, smirking back at her brother.

"They asked (Y/N) to audition." Her mother added.

"Good for you, sis." He said patting her head. 

"I'm off to baseball practice, so I'll be back later. Don't miss me too much. Love ya!" He said while walking out.
