It was Holi. Akshara toyed with the ring on her finger as she glanced up at her fiancé, Viaan. The man that her family had chosen for her to marry.

They'd threatened her. Told her that if she didn't break up with Abhimanyu, the love of her life, they'd kill him. Murder him and chop his body up into little pieces and scatter them for the animals to eat.

And just the mere thought of Abhimanyu being hurt had sent her into a frenzy. Made her anxious. So she had done the most reckless thing she could think of.

She broke up with him. She told him she didn't love him. After all, how could she, a rich heiress, the only daughter of a business tycoon fall in love with a lowly middle class scholarship student and that too, an orphan.

Akshara had lied to him and told him he was only good for a fun time, a fun relationship but not someone who she could see her future with. She had become the villain in his life. In her own life. All because she wanted him to be safe.

"Akshara?" Viaan passed Akshara a glass of Bhaang. "Here."

Normally she hated drinking Bhaang. But today, she was going through a heartbreak. She was dying inside. So she didn't care.

She took the glass of Bhaang from Viaan and gulped it down, looking around her surroundings and saw everyone having fun. Couples dancing, applying colour to each other, playing with water colours, getting drenched.

And there she was, standing, dressed in all white, with not even a single colour applied to her because her family and Viaan hated having fun.

As she got up from the sofa she was sitting on, she suddenly felt dizzy. But good. Akshara took a few steps towards the bar and ordered herself another glass of Bhaang, then another.

Just then, she felt him. The loud roaring of a drum, and most importantly, him. Abhimanyu. She turned around in a matter of seconds and her eyes interlocked with his. His face was covered entirely with red colour but she knew those eyes. She could recognize those eyes, his aura, his presence anywhere. Her body was attuned to his. It knew!

Akshara hesitantly looked around towards Viaan and her family as she dragged her feet towards Abhimanyu, her heart playing to the beat of Abhimanyu's drum.

"Abhi" Akshara felt like crying. Her family was suffocating her.

Abhimanyu circled around her, beating the drum with all his strength, his eyes crazed, his presence maddening.

"Please! Please go! Go before they see you." She whispered, her voice pleading.

"I don't care. I came here for you, Akshara." Abhimanyu's voice was firm, assertive.

Without warning, Abhimanyu grabbed a fistful of pink and red colour from the table near them and turned to face Akshara, just as people began dancing around them, blocking them from Viaan and her family's view.

"Happy Holi, Akshara." Abhimanyu's voice was vengeful, as he slathered the dry colour on Akshara's face just as she closed her eyes, her heart crying.

Akshara opened he eyes, Abhimanyu was gone. She looked around her surroundings for any sign of him, but he wasn't there. It was as if he was never here, except now, she was covered in a slurry of red and pink colour.

Akshara caressed her check, where Abhimanyu had touched her, and made her way towards her bedroom, hiding her face from her family and Viaan.

As Akshara patted her face dry, having removed all the colour from her face, she looked up to see Abhimanyu standing behind her, like a shadow.

"Happy Holi, Akshara." Abhimanyu smirked deviously, throwing a fistful of colour at her mirror, covering it.

Akshara gasped as she turned around to look at him, but before she could react, he covered her face with more red colour.

"Abhi! Please. Leave." She whispered, clutching onto his shoulders, frightened as he looked behind her.

"Not until you say you love me. Accept it."

"I don't love you." Tears threatened her lower lash line as she shook her head, lying through her teeth.

"You don't?" Abhimanyu pulled Akshara against his chest as he ran his hand up both her arms, layering her in Holi colours. From having no colour to being covered with colour now, by Abhimanyu's touch.

"Abhi. Please." She pleaded, breathlessly.

"Tell me, you love me, Akshara." His voice was assertive, filled with madness. A need of sorts.

"Abhi..."

"Akshara." Abhimanyu's hands settled on her bare waist, applying colour on her stomach, leaving his handprint.

Feeling bold, being unable to stop herself, she grabbed a fistful of color herself and applied it on Abhimanyu's cheeks, pulling him close to her.

Abhimanyu crushed his mouth to Akshara's, capturing her lips in a fiercely possessive kiss as he lifted her up and set her on the vanity counter in the bathroom.

Their tongues dueled as Abhimanyu grabbed a fist full of colours and hastily moved downwards towards the bottom of her white lengha skirt, pushing it up to waist, applying red colour on her bare legs as the skirt rode up.

Burning for her need to touch him, Akshara's head hit her vanity mirror just as Abhimanyu pushed her underwear to the side and before she knew it, he thrust into her with one single push.

He began pumping in and out of her hard and fast, just as his hands roamed all over her body, colouring her red. Her neck, her chest, her back, everywhere.

"Say. You. Love. Me." Abhimanyu growled, biting and suckling on the corner of her neck, sure to leave a mark.

Akshara moaned against Abhimanyu's touch, bucking her hips as she felt pushed higher and higher on the counter.

"I..."

"Say it." He pushed into her harder.

"I love you." Akshara screamed, feeling her orgasm building.

"Who do you belong do?"

Akshara's eyes rolled to the back of her head, her mind drawing blanks.

"Who? Akshara. Who do you belong to?" Abhimanyu grit out, holding her in a chokehold.

"You! I belong to you!" Akshara cried out just as her orgasm rushed through her, her body going limp.

Abhimanyu thrust into her a few more times before he stilled, spilling himself inside her.

Abhimanyu pressed his lips to hers, pushing her damp hair away from her forehead. "I love you."

"I love you too." She whispered, nuzzling her nose against his.

"Come with me. Run away with me." Abhimanyu whispered.

"But..."

"Come. Let's run away. Far, far away from here. Just me and you."

Akshara knew she couldn't live without Abhimanyu. She'd die without him. She nodded her head. "Okay."

Abhimanyu pulled out of her and he helped her get down from the vanity. Once she was stable on her feet, they both fixed their clothes, held hands, and made a run for it. Together.
