It's getting bad out there

Annie's POV

I sighed a sigh of contentment staring out at the gorgeous sunset in front of me.

"It's gorgeous, ain't it?" A voice questioned from behind me.

I turned to see my boyfriend, Tommy Boy, standing there, looking out past my shoulder.

Chuckling slightly, I set my sights west once more.

"It's more beautiful in Santa Fe," I told him. "Everything's more beautiful in Santa Fe."

"How do you know so much about this Santa Fe?" Tommy asked, walking up to me and wrapping his arms around my waist, his head resting on my right shoulder.

"Jack told me," I smiled. "He says that everything's bigger in Santa Fe; the sun, the moon, the stars. One day he's gonna take me and I'm finally gonna be out of New York. I'll be free."

"What about me?" He asked, his voice barely a whisper. "What about us?"

"You could come with us," I told him. "You'd love it in Santa Fe. There's no more dirty buildings - no more begging for food. No more fat old men stopping us from living our lives. We wouldn't have to worry about money or-or when our next meal will come ever again. We-we could start a family."

I felt Tommy smile against my neck.

"I love you so much," He muttered.

I turned around and wrapped my arms around his neck, staring into his mesmerizing brown eyes. Pushing up on my tiptoes, I kissed him sweetly.

"I love you too," I whispered against his lips.

As I began to pull away, he tightened his grip on my waist, pulling me into a deep kiss. When we broke apart, he began to plant gentle kisses down my jawline and neck.

I sighed.

"Ich liebe dich so viel mehr, als du jemals wissen könntest," I muttered. (I love you so much more than you could ever know)

"Ich liebe dich auch, meine Liebe," He smiled. (I love you too, my love)

I felt my cheeks heat up as he once more placed his lips on mine. I felt my hands entangle themselves in his gorgeous brown hair and his hands rested on my waist, holding me tight to him. 

I never wanted to let go.
