𝑨𝒕the same time that Lexy can't stand the idea of Axel releasing her from the Maker-Progeny bond, there are several moments that she wishes he would. She wants to live and make decisions for herself, alone and independently. Axel has kept her locked in a golden cage since day one, clipping her wings and suffocating her.
Only he can touch and enjoy her. However, this is not reciprocated.
A week has passed since the event between Axel and Thomas at the Sunlight. During the seven days of the week, Lexy has fulfilled her duties at the bar, but has not seen the human again. That mean that he was really terrified of Axel or that the vampire took more extreme measures and took care of the "problem". Thomas stood up to Axel and, knowing him as Lexy does, she knows that her Maker would not let that go lightly.
However, Lexy has no way of knowing what really happened to Thomas, because Axel hasn't even spoken a word to her since that night. She is invisible to the Sheriff's eyes.
In the blonde's opinion, he is overreacting. Lexy can no longer count on her fingers and toes how many humans and vampires have not tried something with her in front of Axel. He has always reacted badly and in a possessive and territorial manner, but not like that.
The female vampire, however, is used to Axel pretending she doesn't exist every now and then. At first, this really bothered her, who would spend her nights crying, locked in her room. Nowadays, she tries to be emotionally more mature than him and wait for him to come to her. At the end of the night, he is the wrong one.
It is Axel who owes her and the human an apology. Only Lexy knows that will never happen. Axel is not one to apologize, even though he is wrong and knows it. In time, he will get back to her, eventually gifting her with something extremely expensive that Lexy never wanted. This is how Axel admits and shows he is sorry for something.
Friday is the day of the week that Sunlight gets the most customers. And, therefore, there was no better day for Axel to leave Lexy alone at the bar. The vampire is not sure why he is gone, she was just informed by Sam that both of them will not be at the bar today.
Axel doesn't even have the decency to inform her himself.
"You look very pretty today, Lexy."
"Why, the other days I don't?" The vampire asks Sophie who, to her displeasure, has returned. Lexy suspect that Axel talked to the human and convinced her that Lexy would behave and stop threatening her. Axel is very wrong.
Honestly, Lexy doesn't even know what Axel saw in the human to be so insistent that she come back. Really, Sophie has a beautiful body, but the fascination ends there. The brunette only has to open her mouth for Lexy to roll her eyes.
"N-no, it's not like that." Sophie smiles awkwardly and Lexy sets the Tru Blood glass down on the counter. "But when you dance, you exceed all expectations. I wish I had your confidence." The black haired human looks at Lexy's breasts, which, due to the lack of black latex fabric in that area, are showing more than she would dare. It looks like any second they could be completely exposed and Lexy is not bothered by that, not even for a second.
