before i end this chapter, however, there's something important to me that i want to bring up

i'm not the type to get political, but i have something i'd really like to spread awareness about. recently in the usa, many states have been banning gender-affirming care for transgender teenagers. This includes things such as puberty blockers (WHICH ARE 100% REVERSIBLE) that can help trans teenagers express themselves and improve their mental health. it's been shown that gender-affirming care is safe for children, and it's been shown to decrease depressive symptoms, as well as emotional and behavioral problems. and it should be clear that lawmakers aren't doing this in the best interest of trans teens; they don't want to protect anybody from "irreversible harm" like they say they are (again, puberty blockers are 100% reversible), they just want to oppress and eliminate trans teenagers. most trans teens don't get surgical treatment, either. politicians don't want to protect trans teens, they want to eradicate them. they want them to k!ll themselves. they WANT them to die.
but they won't stop with just trans people, they'll come after other groups in the LGBT community, too. that's why it's so important to do something about this before it spirals out of control. so please, spread awareness about this issue. all i ask is that you don't just stay silent, because silence equals compliance, and staying silent will only make things worse.
