Nikki placed the tray on the bed , she saw that Daryl was struggling to eat due to not being able to sit up properly.
"Now don't be mad , did you um want me to feed you" Nikki asked him
Daryl gazed at her and smiled
"Ya seen me at ma lowest this week , so I'm not gonna be mad , be great if ya could feed me , ain't easy feeding ya self when ya lying on ya back" Daryl smiled
Nikki grabbed the plate and fork , and proceeded to feed him , she could see the way he gazed at her there was pure love in his eyes .
When she had finished feeding him , she grabbed a bowl and cloth and cleaned his face . She then helped him drink his coffee holding his head up so he could sip the coffee .
"Ya an angel ya know that" Daryl smiled at her
"No I'm not I'm just me" Nikki replied back
"Yea ya are most girls if there boyfriend was like me , they'd run a mile , ma um ex did the last time" Daryl sighed
Nikki knew this was leading in to the story about Merle , she knew she shouldn't push that he had to tell her at his pace .
"Your ex who was she" Nikki asked
"Her name was Caroline Andrews"Daryl exclaimed and stopped
"The model Caroline Andrews"Nikki replied shocked
"Yea that's her , she couldn't cope when I was injured before if it wasn't for Rick well I wouldn't of met ya" Daryl sighed
"Rick is awesome" Nikki replied back
"Yea he's great he gave me a reason to carry on after ya know" Daryl sighed
Nikki could see this was hard for Daryl bringing up the past , she didn't want to pursue it if it hurt too much plus she wasn't sure if she could control her own emotions, she grabbed his hand.
"If it's too much you don't have to tell me" Nikki sighed
Daryl gazed at this beautiful woman who was there with him , he knew she was the one for him and he wasn't prepared to keep secrets from her , he wanted a future with her so he knew he had to tell her
"Need to tell ya Nik , need to tell ya why I am the way I am , why a silly lil noise makes me jump, why I hate enclosed spaces , why have those scars all over ma body , I need to tell ya so ya can understand me better and also if I want ya to have a future with me , I have to be honest with ya" Daryl sighed
"Ok but only if you feel ready , I don't want to pressure you or anything" Nikki replied
"Hey I feel ready to do this , I feel safe with ya , I will get emotional, gonna be reliving some horrible things , but I know ya here with me so I will be ok" Daryl smiled
"If your sure" Nikki replied
"I promise ya I'm sure I'm ready I need to do this" Daryl replied .

Daryl was finishing up his last session , once he had finished he was gonna clean up , call Caroline who was on a shoot in Paris , then look after Carl and Judith for the evening whilst Rick worked late .
He was in the middle of popping his cameras away when the door opened .
"Sorry we're closed" Daryl shouted out
