Y/N spent the following days anxiously waiting for her father's visit. Her nerves grew more each hour with no sign of him.

"My apologies professor, but could you repeat once more for me?" she asked.

"Miss Malfoy, your father has arrived. You are to go meet him in the Headmaster's office." Snape repated in his uninterested, monotone voice.

"Right away, sir." she fake smiled and headed to Dumbledore's office. When she turned the corner and out of everyone's sight, she sulked and her pace slowed down.

She knocked on the door and a "Come in!" came from behind the door, so she entered. She calmed down somewhat, since Dumbledore was present in the room. Her father wouldn't resort to any violence with the Headmaster present.

"Ah, Miss Y/N! How've you been?" Dumbledore stood up to greet the Slytherin and gestured towards one of the armchairs in the office. She greeted back and sat down.

"Now that all of you are present, what brings you here, Lucius?" Dumbledore leaned back into his chair.

"I wish to speak to my children. Especially my... daughter." he glared at her.

She didn't return his eye contact, her eyes fixed on the Headmaster at all times.

"Now, Lucius! You also heard what has happened, I take it. No need to take drastic measures. After all, didn't you leave Draco in the care of Y/N as long as they are at Hogwarts?"

"Yes, I have heard what she has done." he answered, pretending to not have heard the question. "But she has crossed the line. Hitting her younger brother? That is unacceptable. Utterly unacceptable!"

"Now, now. She didn't torture the poor boy. He is here- with us- feeling alright if I'm not mistaken."

He looked at the young Malfoy and he nodded, not taking his eye off the floor. It seemed to interest him more than the discussion at hand.

"Well then it is settled. She just gave him a light slap to teach him that his behavior wasn't acceptable. Just doing her older sister duty. Kids, I think you should leave. It is rather late and you have classes early tomorrow."

"Y/N! Hey, Y/N!"

She heard a male voice behind her. She didn't turn around to face the person.

"Little snake-" he got a hold of her shoulder, turning her to face him. Cedric. "-why have you been ignoring me?"

"I'm not-"

"Yes you are. Since that night you've been acting strange. Y/N, you know you can tell me anything..." he cupped her face with both hands, looking at her, pleading "... please!"

"Alright- come on. Follow me!" she tool his wrist and dragged him towards the library.

She didn't know, but her gesture took him slightly off guard. He got as red as a tomato at her touch.

They sat down at the first free table they found and told him what happened that night. About that weird voice.

He was speechless. Confused, but also intrigued.

"Are you saying that you heard a voice coming from inside the walls. That's why you asked me if I had heard a voice then? A voice..." he trailed off "... that only you heard."

"Am I going insane?" she looked at the door behind Cedric, as if questioning her life.

"What- No! Hogwarts is a weird place. We all know it. Maybe we should leave it be. I don't want you to hurt yourself"
