Y/N POV: (btw, heres a key! Y/N = Your name    Y/I = Your first initial)

Being back in my childhood home was like a fever dream, but in a good way. Every turn I took in Beach City brought back memories. I was surprised not much had changed in the years here. The shops, the beach, the houses, all just the same as they were when I left. I was walking by a big tree next to where I had lived as a child and I gasped. It was my old tree house! Lars and I would come here every day after school and hang out. I had a hello kitty speaker that I would connect to my tablet to play music (keep in mind this was only 4 years ago so they had tablets and all that).

I climbed the wobbly ladder up to the tree house. Hmm..this place was smaller than I remembered. Or maybe I just got bigger, heh. I was sure I had taken everything with me when I left, but there was stuff in there. When I looked closer at the walls, there were carvings in the wood on the walls of the old treehouse, like stars and doodles and all that, but one stuck out to me. L + Y/I  carved in a heart on the wall. I didn't remember carving that, and the only people who ever went in here were me and-

I looked behind me.

Oh. Um.

Lars POV:

I was finally off work, it was starting to get a little darker out. I turned off the lights and locked the doors to the Big Donut and headed off to my secret safe place. Ever since Y/N left when we were kids I had always used our old tree house as a hang out spot, kinda as a way to remember them. It's not like I had anything else to do after school, I never had any good friends after they left. They were the best friend I ever had. I knew something was up when my lamp I had put in the tree house was on, and I knew I didn't leave it on. I slowly climbed up the tall rope ladder, and I saw someone inside. It was Y/N! What the hell are they doing up here??!!! I said, "HEY!" and they turned around quickly. "Oh, Lars! You scared me. Just looking at the old tree house." Maybe they didnt see the carvings? I hope not. I had just carved them when I was thinking about them one day, but now I wished I hadn't. Oh jeez.

Y/N POV:

I pretended I didn't see the carvings. He said he wanted to hang out there, so I climbed down the ladder and headed home. How embarrassing. What if he thought I was sorting through his stuff? I've really done it now. I walked up the stairs of the apartment, and my mom was there with my dinner. It was grilled cheese and tomato soup. I sat down to eat. "Soo, how was your first day here?" asked my mom. "It was great! I got a donut, checked out my old treehouse, I even saw Lars!" I responded in a happy tone, recovering from my past feeling of embarrassment. "Wait, whos Lars?" she questioned. I explained it to her. "Oh, I bet hes such a handsome young man! Where did you see him?" she said. "He works at the Big Donut!" I answered. I put my plate in the sink and got ready for bed. 11PM already? The day went by so fast! I lay down in my bed, thinking about what I had seen in the treehouse. Before I knew it though, I was fast asleep.
