" Iris, get back here! UGH!" i hear neteyam from behind me yelling at me and loak. we're supposed to be spotters but we want to get in on the action. we went down on our ikrans and grab some guns.

" where not supposed to be here" neteyam said as he grabbed my shoulder and pushed me.

" it's fine" i said as i grab a gun.

" my father is going to be pissed and ground us." he said.

" good thing he's not my father, right?" i said as i point the gun to the ships.

" you don't even know how to use it." neteyam said to loak that had a gun in his hand.

" dad taught  me" loak awesnerd wirh a cocky smile.

" see we know what we're doing miss bossy pants" i say as i point the gun into the sky.

" Iris stop messing around you are going to get hurt" he said as he grabbed the barrel of the gun and pushed it to aim at the ground.

" i'm not. i'm trying to help." i say as i walk over to loak. i grab the gun from him and run to where the ship was. and i see one of the people in our clan struggling. there's a branch pushing down her body. so i run over to her. she's trying to push it off of her but she just couldn't.

" Iris! where are you going?!" i hear neteyam yell from behind me i look behind me and i see him looking at me wirh frightened eyes.

" get loak out of here!" i yell and run to the hurt navi.

"hey i'll help you ok?"i say as i try and push up the branch and i push it up enough for her to get out.

" thank you miss iris" she says as she signs me " i see you" and then limps away. i run up to her and help her walk but i see the ship coming down. i start shooting and i see a ship come falling and then i see ash and fire everywhere. then all i see is black. i feel myself getting shaked.

"IRIS" i hear someone say. i barley open my eyes and i see Loak. he has his hands on my shoulders and a worried look on his face.

"WAKE UP SKXAWNG!" i hear him say. i open my eyes a little more and all i see is fog and fire. i couldn't move and my whole body hurt. i felt weak. i hated when i felt weak.

" hey hey i'm okay" i said quietly. i was hard to breathe and talk.

" oh thank eywa. let's get you home okay?" he says as he puts his arms under my shoulders and the one arm supporting my knees.

" what about Neteyam! is he okay?" i ask.

" yes my dad has him" he said. i put my head on his shoulder and scared for when we get back home. even though jake wasn't my father he treated my like one of his own. i didn't know how he was going to react of me not obeying his rules but i was just trying to help our people.

we get on Loaks ikran and we ride home. i see the whole clan cheering and yipping the whole way back.

we get off our ikran and and i see Jake pacing and talking to him self, pissed.

"your supposed to be spotters. you spot bogeys and then call em in"  " he said waving his hand around. me and loak stood by the ikrans while neteyam has his head down in front of his father.

" does any of this sound familiar?!?" he yelled." get here!" he said and me and loak rushed and stood closer and all three of us had out shoulders touching. we were scared of what our punishment was. i put my hand on neteyams arm. and i rubbed tiny circles trying to tell him it's okay. i knew he hated disappointing his father even when he tried his hardest.

" jesus i let you three geniuses and you disobey direct order." jake scolded.

" i take full responsibility" neteyam said as he looked at me and loak. i sigh. i hated when he did that.

" neteyam." i said and then looked at jake. kiri and tuk roll there eyes and huff. they hated it to when neteyam took the blame.

" no mr sully it is mine. i drug loak down there wirh me. i wanted to get in on the action and Neteyam tried to stop us." i said as i put my head down.

" Iris." i hear both of the brothers whisper. i can hear the annoyance in there voice.

" iris, no flying for a week. you could of got loak and neteyam killed, and yourself." he said even more angry.

" now go get pattched up, kiri help her" jake says and i look at Kiri and she puts out her hand i hold her hand and we walk to Mo'ats. i look back and Neteyam and he gave me the " why would you do that look" and i know he was mad at me for doing that but i couldn't let them get in trouble and i would rather get more grounded then them.

we got to Grandmother mo'ats.

" hello grandmother, can you help me clean up Iris's wounds?" kiri asks.

" yes of course, come" moat said as she motioned for me so sit down infront of her. i went and sat down and she grabbed a cream and started putting it on my back. i gasped from how much pain it was causing me so kiri came and sat down and held my hand.

" so what actually happened?" kiri asked

" what?" i say.

" i know my brothers and i know you. you wouldn't brag them down there so what actually happened." she said.

" ok fine. i went down with loak to keep him safe because you know loak, he's wild. i grabbed a gun and saw some navi hurt so i went and tried to help but then the aircraft came crashing down." i said.

" iris.. why would you take the blame for those skxawngs" she said wirh a smile.

" because kiri. your brothers get in trouble enough." i say with a laugh.

" IRIS!" i hear from the opening of the tent. i look and see Neteyam and Neytri.

" i'm sorry ok!" i say and look down. neteyam comes over and sits where kiri was sitting but she got up and grabs stuff to clean up her brother.

" why would you get in trouble for me and loak. it wasn't ur fault." he says as he grabbed my hands.

" because i don't like it when ypu guys get in trouble." i says and i look at our hands. and he stats rubbing his thumb on my hand. i look up and into his big yellow eyes and smile and he smiles back.

" thank you iris i appreciate it. but i don't want you to get in trouble either so just let me take them blame ok?" he says wirh pleading eyes.

" okay neteyam the mighty fisher man!" i say laughing. he hated when i called him that. he pushed me alittle and kiri comes and puts the cream on his back. he squeezed my hand. i squeezed back and gave him a reassuring smile.

while neteyam got cleaned up i stayed by his side and neytri and jake watched from the outside.

"what?" jake asks as he loads up his gun.

" neteyam, loak and iris try to live up to you." neytri says as she looks into the tent. " it is very hard on them" she adds and looks at her mate.

" i know" jake says.

" you are very hard on them." neytri bends down next to jake. while he continues to load his gun.

"i'm there father it's my job" he looks up at neytri. " and what would Norm do if i wasn't hard on Iris." he says looking back down. he knows how much Norm trusts him to look after his daughter.

" i know majake, but this is not a squad.. it's a family" neytri says.

" i thought.. we lost them." jake says as he puts down his gun and he looks at Neytri with sad eyes. neytri puts her hand on jakes arm to reassure him that it was okay.

Norm was around for his daughter as much as he could but he has a whole lab that he has to take care of. Also, Iris likes spending time with the Sullys more than being in a lab. she likes exploring and being in the moment. she loves her dad and jake more than anything. they were her family and she would do anything for them.
