Was dancing a hobby that I enjoyed participating in?

No, it certainly was not.

But is it something I am good at?

Unfortunately, yes.

Blaire's mother, Daffodil Fawcett (previously known as Daffodil Sawyer), had her claim to fame as a dancing prodigy when she was young. From ballet to hip hop to modern dance, there wasn't a dance that Daffodil Sawyer had not mastered. As a teenager, she spent most of her time twirling her way around the world, from Hollywood to London to Tokyo. As an adult, she landed a career as a famous choreographer for musicians and actors alike.

This was how Daffodil Sawyer initially met Harvey Alan Fawcett.

Now you would think that with two famous parents, Blaire and her brothers would have grown up in the spotlight, but that really wasn't the case. Harvey and Daffodil had wanted their children to grow up away from the fame so that they could live normal, private childhoods. This meant that the parents had made sure their kids' faces were never seen by the paparazzi.

But being that the family was still rich, "normal" wasn't exactly a words used to describe the Fawcett kids' upbringing.

No one could say that the Fawcett kids weren't spoiled, because they most definitely were. Whatever they wished, they need only to ask and it would be theirs. But unlike most spoiled children, they weren't brats about their money. Yes, they were used to lavish gifts and the best money could buy, but Harvey and Daffodil had made sure their kids grew up with the right mindset.

So the Fawcett children, despite being spoiled, were good natured, down-to-earth people.

Good natured, down-to-earth people with extraordinary gifts.

Of course, when her three children were born, Daffodil had hoped that at least one of them would want to follow in her footsteps.

But nope, that's not what happened.

Beckham, the eldest, wanted to be a chef. It certainly showed through when he was younger, when he became the one to cook their meals. By the age of eleven, Beck became their own personal chef and baker. If you wanted something to eat, all you had to do was ask. Right now, Beck was attending the best culinary school in London, and so far, his dreams appeared to be coming true.

Luca, the youngest, seemed to have aspirations of becoming an actor. He was a drama king in his own right, but could be so convincing in his performances, you'd feel that his emotions were real. Honestly, sometimes Blaire felt a little scared with how convincing Luca could be at times. So far, her eight-year-old brother had been able to score a few recurring roles here and there, one of them being on an American musical show called Glee.

And Blaire, of course, was chasing her dream of becoming a singer.

Of the three, Blaire was the only one to have been taught any dancing by their mother. She was the only Fawcett sibling pursuing a career where dancing would be helpful, so naturally, she was the only one to take lessons. Her mother told her that entertaining a crowd was important during concerts, and that singers had to find a way to keep a crowd interested besides singing. Some would tell jokes, play games, or dance.

Blaire wasn't very good at telling jokes on the spot, nor was she creative when it came to games, so dancing was the only option.

She began lessons with her mother at age five.

Blaire had been lucky enough to inherit her mother's talent for dance, so training with Daffodil Fawcett wasn't too awful. She was able to develop the same talent as her mother in many fields of dance; her strongest being freestyle and ballet. Ballet was helpful to Blaire, mainly because of her good balance and posture. Freestyle allowed her to let loose and have fun without looking like a fool.
