Hey Jealousy

"Thank you for stopping by, have a great day!" I said to the last customer of my shift as they left the building. I sighed and wiped the sweat from my brow. I wiped the counter with a damp cloth. I heard Angel's familiar voice coming from the break room. "That's too funny." She said. I peeked past the kitchen to see her talking to Mark and laughing. I was curious to know what was so funny, so I threw the cloth in the soapy water bucket and casually walked to the break room. Suddenly the joke was no longer funny, because they both stopped laughing when I entered the room. Mark  cleared his throat. "Sup, Tarrant." He said.
"Sup." I replied.
"Well, I better get out there, looks like there's a customer waiting." Mark said awkwardly as he headed for the bar. I shot him a side-eye.
"What were you two laughing at?" I asked Angel.
"Oh, it's just an inside joke. You would've had to be there to get it." She said.
"Can I hear it?"
"Why are you so nosey all of the sudden?"
"Nosey?" I asked, slightly insulted. "How am I being nosey? What, I can't ask my girlfriend about an inside joke she has with another man?" I asked, being cautious not to say 'girlfriend' too loud.
"Oh, I see how it is. You're jealous of Mark." She said as she grabbed her keys and got ready to clock out.
"Jealous? Don't be ridiculous. I'm not jealous of anyone." I grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to me as I noticed a guy eyeing her up while we walked out of the building and towards her apartment.
Okay, I might be a little jealous.
